A couple of additional notes: 1. DO NOT INSTALL the game into your C:\Program Files\folder. Choose a separate folder or another drive to install it on, as RBR has issues if installed in C:\Program Files. 2. When you are in Practice mode, I made mention that you don't need to be concerned about the car slot. This is partially untrue. Do not choose car slot 2 unless you are using a FWD car. Only FWD cars should be installed on slot 2. FWD, RWD and 4WD cars can be installed on any of the other car slots. You can swap install cars overtop of each other to the same car slot and HU Plugin will manage that for you. 3. Make sure you turn OFF the Auto Center Wheel in the Force Feedback Options Menu. 4. There is a way to require the clutch to be used on an H-pattern shift, as well as to allow you to map both sequential and H-pattern gears. It is called the H-Shifter plugin and I have added a link to it in the description.
Everything is broke with inputs I can map it all with just the wheel plugged in but the gear up paddle won't work in game and and if I plug my gearstick and/or handbrake in it makes it so you can't map the steering 🤦♂️I've been struggling for ages but it won't let me map everything and it all actually work.. really wanted to try this as well.
I followed this guy 2 years ago when I first played it, I uninstalled it for some drive space and now have a new computer. Found myself on this video again on accident and this is still the best video that answered all my basic questions, what a legend.
I cant find which video you explained the force feedback sensitivity in the RBR Launcher. But you are the best. By default it was set to 150 and god lord. I think it just compresses the FFB scale or something, because every bump felt like I was hitting a wall. At 350ish its so smooth and yet super detailed. Thank you!
Great video, thank you :) Btw you can now set sequential and H-pattern at the same time by setting sequential in main settings and H-pattern in the shifter plugin in the plugin menu.
Thanks a bunch! Ive always been a great fan of DiRT Rally and WRC so I was always very curious to RBR seeing its reputation. Just didnt wanna go thru the hassle myself :p
Like Abraham Lincoln or was it Jesus Christ instead -- you seem to fit their mold when he/he stated: "Speak slowly and carry a big stick": Yours is a voice that I wish that I heard on much more often on youtube: Many youtube narrators of videos are obnoxious or difficult to understand. Your command of English is lucid and intelligible and not particularly uninteresting: You're not boring. You don't mumble or spit when you talk. You're really good at it. You should do it more often....
can you help me, everytime i push handbrake on a hairpin, looks like i have overreacted reaction by the car. several times the car makes 360. Another question, how many degrees you use in your wheel settings?
Absolutely awesome, thank you so much for taking the time to put this together, I've been reading the install notes over and over so I don't stuff up when I load it up in a week or so, but this is exactly what I need :)
@ Jason Murphy I am having trouble installing the game. When going through the install, the extra maps/cars/plugins do not seem to be installed (despite being selected during install). Most notably, the plugins folder is empty, and reinstalling did not help.
THANK YOU SO MUCH SIR I HAVE BEEN PLAYING DIRT RALLY @>) FOR SOME TIME BUT RBR HAS SOME THING DIFFERENT THAT BOILS YOUR BLOOD WHEN YOU SPEEDING BLINDLY
Hi, this was a great tutorial, i have one question though, at around 27:50 you mentioned about nobody using a 4:3 monitor, weirdly, i do, what would i do to calculate the fov then?
hey man, can you help me please? I have a problem, the wheel of the car in game, turns really slow. I have a small sensitivity. In dirt rally 2.0 if i move my wheel 20-30 degree im able to do a hairpin. can you help somehow?
What do you have your actual wheel rotation set up as? Go to your wheel settings Fanatec, Thrustmaster, etc. Change the degrees of rotation down. Most people go with 540 degrees. But this is subjective.
Hey so is it possible to add other mods to this “pack”? Or do you have to install other groups of mods? And if yes to either, what website is safe to download said mods.
Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful. You mentioned earlier about the CZ plugin. Can this be installed and run successfully in the HU install and allow you to participate in rallies in either site?
No this needs to be a separate install completely. Makes for a lot of hard drive space required. Kevedwards did an install video for cz plugin I would recommend searching.
@@murfenator82 Thanks. I've a separate RBRPro install to my RBR.Hu one so maybe I'll just use that. Of the two platforms, CZ and HU, which one is used the most?
@@markthibault8579 this year so far CZ. Most tournaments I'm in are on it still. HU is quite promising though. Hopefully both plugins will continue to improve.
I'm getting an annoying error message "Runtime Error (at 192:492) Internal error: Cannot expand "commonpf64" constant on this version of Windows" Is this because my computer is 32-bits and this mod is 64-bits only? Please help, I really want to play RBR with this mod installed.
Hi Jason thx for the info.......but is there anyway to adjust the steering wheel rotation sensitivity ? Mine feel really flicky from lock to lock....am running the NGP6 Hungarian plug-in.....I had no issue with Chez plugin
Hello. Why disable auto-centering? Is there no centering force in the behavior of a real car? Please tell us about the ffb settings outside the game, the settings are in the program menu before starting. There you can adjust from 0 to 600 units. This greatly affects the feel of the game. There is also a separate meaning for gravel and snow. thanks
Does anybody know how to permanently save the sound settings? I play with headphones and the default co-driver sound volume is ear piercingly high. But each time I start a new stage. Bam, default values.
I am not sure I got it right. The distance to my monitor is 60 cm. My monitor height is 33 cm, so my 4:3 is 50. The FOV i got is 0.644. Is this possible or it's too little?
RBR doesn't support triple screens. Its one of the few bummers about it. I setup my triples using calculators you can find on the internet. The angles of the side monitors are dictated based on the distance of the center monitor from your eyes.
Forget what i said. Just create a folder wherever you want - but NOT in Program Files. You can name the folder RBR. Put "rsf_installer_files" AND "Rallysimfans_Installer" into the RBR folder. Run the installation. When it asks where to install, choose the same RBR folder you created. If "rsf_installer_files" and "Rallysimfans_Installer" is not in the same folder where you want the game installed, you'll get the 403 error.
Hi, Great tutorial, really helped espacially the FOV stuff. Having set that up, I find the standard digidash kind of gets in the way so I thought I'd try that linear digidash but the install video is really difficult to follow, it's way too fast and has no written instructions. I don't want to copy files to the wrong place and break RBR so could yoou possibly post instructions on how to install it? BTW, ignore my other post, batteries died in my keybourd and the message got screwed up :-)
Thanks for the video, I only play in VR, can you point me to an up to date mod for that? Do I need to uninstall this version and get RBR pro instead? Thank you and keep up!
sorry for late reply, you can get the VR mod here. Remember to disable the pacenote plugin GUI from its options or the game won't start www.kegetys.fi/rbrvr-v1-6-fix-for-crash-with-some-controllers/
Great video--thanks. Can other tracks be used with this mod? For instance, the many amazing stages from RSRBR? Even just for offline practise? I can't see how to do that in the latest version (as at 16:44 in your video here).
nice video! i have some problem setting the fov, the double right click doesn't work. i have problem with the steering too. it seems slow, i have to turn the wheel 360° to turn 90° in game, it's frustrating.
I believe with the latest NGP menu update it may have FOV override enabled automatically. You can enable or disable this in the plugins menu in the game in NGP menu. If you want to adjust the FOV value you need to go into the NGP.ini value and find the FOV override value. Otherwise you can disable this in game in the plugin and then set it separately for each car. Sorry this is a bit confusing.
I have tampered with EVERY setting in the main menu to make this mod 'playable/drivable' with my PC keyboard. Everything I've tried has failed and I have spent hours. With all the updates and new physics -- how did this mod not make Richard Burns Rally drivable on the keyboard? Like you, the steering is way too slow; I can't keep the cars on the road no matter what...
Hello Jason, I have a quick question hopefully you can help me with. After a recent launcher update, I don’t have ability to turn on my gauger plugin. Its still a part of the launcher and I can turn it on, but as soon as I leave the menu its off again, regardless of me pressing the “apply changes” button, it just automaticly goes to off as soon as I leave the menu; naturally it doesn’t appear in the games plugin menu either. Now its not a big loss since I don’t use it while driving, but I love to monitor it during replays so I’d like to be able to enable it again, thank you very much in advance and thank you for all of your work in explaining the install process.
I'm wondering if anyone -Jason Murphy or otherwise- has any pointers or tips whatsoever to driving cars in this mod with a keyboard? I own no analog steering wheel on any PC I have ever owned; I never have; i have never had the money for one... I tried configuring every option, every setting for steering in the main menu. I especially tampered with the steering 'filter settings' in the main menu -to no avail. The steering just isn't quick enough for this mod to be playable with a keyboard. I can't make sharp enough turns -either at high speeds or low speeds- to avoid CONSTANTLY going off the road... I assumed that the plethora of new updates and physics that this mod includes would've made Richard Burns Rally very playable on a keyboard; but it absolutely is not the case... Any suggestions?
hey thanks for sharing, but when a select practice, then star stage, i press A to accelerate, the car accelerate but does not move, help me please, i also configurate the ps4 controller and doesn not work
i always only use rsrbr but what are the difference difference between Rallysimfan and rsrbr? does Rallysimfan have lot of different race stages than rsrbr. can i still use NGP6 physic with it? thank you brother
hi guys can you help me i have a problem with the TSS Handbreake when i plug it into my T300 the steering wheel doesn't work properly it gets very soft

в игре: plugins-ngpсar - лобовое стекло - скрыть, в версии rbr cit: установленная машина - ford fiesta wrc 2019 - правое окошко с гаечным ключом - при нажатии на него появится меню с настройками - скрыть лобовое стекло.
