I'm so glad that I found your Channel today. I just became a new subscriber. I'm a guy who is always wanted to do quilting. But i've always been intimidated. The few experiences that i did have, were not pleasant ones. Usually when I try to join a group, I was refused because i'm a man, and the woman didn't want me to be in the group. And that's not in the far past, that happened about a year ago. So I'm really happy to find another guy who loves quilting, and is willing to show it to the rest of us. I'm going to check your back catalog of videos and start with you. Look forward to a great year of quilting. Keep the videos coming, keep up the good work.

The last part of this video. Talking about knowing how awkward it is to be a man and quilting. I needed that, thank you. I'm trans, and it feels.. so invalidating to be the only man in the group. I only started getting into sewing and quilting as I've transitioned and I love it. And seeing guys like you out here. Love it.

I actually started quilting on a whim so to speak, randomly at the gym I suddenly thought I wanna try it. which I did make a small wall hanging quilt that has so many goof ups in it, but I made it completely by myself, had no help with piecing, or quilting. what I've learned-ish was from watching videos like yours and a few others on RU-vid to help give me ideas as well as techniques to try. this is amazing that your making these videos on how to make quilts, for those who never done it or those that need a refresher!! can't wait to watch the next video, I can use all the help I can get!!

Just noticed this project. I'm a veteran quilter... but I love watching quilt-alongs, and we can all learn something. It was nice to meet you in person at Road2CA back in 2020 Jan. Thank goodness as they canceled live action this year.

2021 glad to start this new project ...I have some experience but am sure I will pick up a few new tips etc as I normally do with your videos 😷👍🌍🇦🇺🥂

Firstly, “Happy New Year” to you and John. I have been quilting for a number of years after stumbling across your channel while looking for help with adjusting the tension on my sewing machine. Up to that point I had only really used my machine for alterations and repairs, never for creating something from scratch. I have completed several quilting projects and with each one I have learned something new. I strongly believe that it never hurts to revisit the foundation skills and this video is an excellent starting point. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next. Make Friends??? Then where are the chocolates next to your SEWING MACHINE? Chocolates do help the beginners... Chocolates are messy, doesn't matter, eating chocolates gets you into the rhythm of the sewing machine. Bye, Dale! P.S I was gonna tell you a secret to make a quick chocolate bar....but NO.
