Beginner dancer is such a subjective term in the dance world 😅 We know people who have danced for 4 years who still consider themselves beginners! The most important thing is that no matter what stage you view yourself in, there's always room to improve and always room to have fun while doing it! Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced dancer doesn't truly matter as a label, because no matter what level you think you're at... you're still a dancer 🕺✨

I love how she was so patient and sweet about doing it again and again, that was so kind of her and that helps beginner dancers so much to be loose and fun and vibey, it makes dancing more fun!

Is Ruthie also a coach? I get the impression she would be an amazing coach. Her energy, enthusiasm, skill, the way she is able to articulate the elements of dance and the way she is able to bring Dylan up just screams professionalism and ultimate-coach vibes. I want a Ruthie in my life please.

I love that Dylan said his main concern when taking a class is getting it, because he got it! He looked really good! That’s one thing I struggle with when I dance; I get so caught up in being scared to mess up that I look so much more awkward than I really would if I just let go and have fun

thanks really needed this I'm a dancer too and because of whole pandemic thing i was not focused on my dance but when i thought about taking some online classes and couldn't get it in time or was just losing stamina really quick i was so unmotivated and was thinking all my hard work of 3 years is just gone because of this 10months gap but seeing this video makes me think its still not to late to continue i mean i got this right

Both of them did so well!! I’m not convinced Dylan’s a beginner dancer LMAO. He’s just too good. And ruthie, gosh. She’s literally the kind of dancer that I enjoy watching because she adds her own musicality instead of just executing the choreography perfectly or how the choreographer does it.

I started with Steezy and ventured out to my first classes in the OC at Millenium and Offstage. I have my first in-person class with Ruthie for a beginner grooves class, and I'm glad I saw this video. Combining Steezy + classes is an amazing combo especially for a beginner like me. What's really cool is I can work on foundations on my own time at home. Love love love Steezy.

This is so cute and informative! Ive been too shy to start dancing and my self doubt always stops me, but I love these videos cause it shows me that we just tryin to have a good time! Im always afraid experienced dancers are gonna judge me, or im too old, etc etc but the variety of videos Steezy has to swat down those dumb doubts helps me slowly build my courage to even consider starting. Ruthie! PREACH GIRL! your words at the end of the video is what I try to teach in my class. so many times young adults feel they have to be pro by the end of first class. I always tell them to focus on 1 thing in class and build from there. Class is a place to learn, shape, grow and most importantly have fun.

It goes without saying that Ruthie was bomb 🔥 BUT I WANT TO GIVE A SHOUT-OUT TO DYLAN FOR KILLIN IT! It takes a lot of courage to put yourself in that space as a new dancer and he did so amazing. And Ruthie is the dancer you want in class - amazing and inspirational and kind and encouraging ❤️

two years are pretty good ngl dylan is a good dancer he just needs to set his mind to being open to new ideas, im not a pro but i dance a lot of hiphop when we did afro in our dance team my head was like yeah no but then i started changing my mindset and loving and feeling the dance and it helped i danced outside my lil box and ya know felt the rythm
