Great Job. My position changed at work and now I have to write estimates. I always said estimators are gods. You made understanding the program easy. Thanks for posting the video
Thank you so much for this video. I feel like I am ready to purchase my subscription and create my first ever supplement report. Lots of years in the industry and have never had to work on insurance claims. thank you so much!
That was fantastic tutorial training. I am just watching tuturials since i dont have idea about xactimate program but I am really interestred to learn though i dont have training on sketching or engineering. This video encourages me to learn this applicatipon. Thanks
I had used the older version of Xactimate back in 2012, but have found this latest version exceptionally great. The tutorial was also very intuitive. The host was awesome and extremely knowledgeable. GREAT piece!
First time I've watched it one of your videos. Only have one computer so I took notes. Ready and not intimidated to get into Xactimate. Explanations were easily understood. I thought it was great.
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the video Karla! Let me know if you have any questions - you may always feel free to reach out at alena@xm8mastery.com
I have used Xactimate for insurance and property management companies. I also have used XactRemodel with a couple of different remodeling companies. I am "retired" but still do a few drawings and design work and some estimating. I checked out your videos because someone came to me who was looking for a good estimating program. I recommended XactRemodel and I was looking for some training videos to get them started. I do appreciate your presentation because you go through on a straight line to get them started. When I started with Xactamate they took us through most of the different ways to use the program all at once, THAT was so confusing that we had to almost get rid of all that was said and just find a way to get an estimate done. We didn't realize that there is about 4 -5 ( maybe more) ways to do an estimate, so that wasn't clear when first introduced us to the program, the other guy from our company just gave up and left me to figure it out.
I'm glad you're finding my training helpful! Sounds like you've been through the wringer a bit on your journey to learn the software - I feel for you as I had to basically figure it out on my own as I went along in the beginning as well. That's also why I started my training company as I witness quite a bit of poor training out there in the industry. Thanks for the feedback - I appreciate you!
Great Job. You have the heart of a teacher and I am happy to subscribe. I currently work as a secretary, but am thinking of changing careers to become a Desk Adjuster (because I do not want to go out into the field and climb roofs). Your video is very useful because I use it to determine whether or not I feel that this is something I would be comfortable doing. And it is!!!
Yayks! Great work! Newbie to the industry (new mom ;) too ), decided to work from home and found a client who belongs to the Restoration Management. I will be linking this video to my training manual ..
Excellent video, I'm trying to learn Xactimate. I will watch this video again, along with other videos you've created. I don't understand the thumbs down on this.
I am trying to get into Field Adjusting vs a workers' comp adjuster. This was really helpful and I am hoping to view more of Alena's training. She explains it well.
Thank you for this video, I am a new adjuster and have had a hard time finding training to do xactimate. I want to be able to do supplementing as well so I look forward to your next class, it appears I just missed it.
This is a really helpful video. I just got my Texas Adjusters license and this video is needed for adjusters like me. I used to go to Rosewell to do shopping when I was in Carlsbad.
An excellent tutorial for either first timer or refresher. Very thorough and kept simple. I'm headed to the next one. Keep up the great work. Very appreciative!
HI, I am new to the reconstruction industry, I have worked as PC adjustor Years ago, and am now trying to break into this field so , nerdy as It sounds. I am teaching myself everything from scratch and I have watched alot of videos and yours are amazing, thank you. (I can't afford xactware) so this is a blessing.
Your video was very informative and to the point. As someone whom has never used the software, I felt that I learned the entire program in one course. Thank you!
Thank you so much for explaining everything so simpily, i have been trying to learn x1 for over a month and this video is the only one that has helped at all!
This was actually much better than the x1 class u took 🤣 thank you so much I'm going to look at all of your videos I'm a new independent adjuster trying to get my feet wet with Property
Thanks for the video. I'm an aspiring p&c adjuster (getting my license in a week) and very new to the xactimate program. You've done a great job of taking the anxiety out of learning a new complicated program. I know that this video serves as an intro into the estimating process. While there's a lot to this iceberg, your video gave me the confidence to take it on with confidence, efficiently and effectively. Since I'm pretty computer savvy with a good background in Microsoft Office Suite, the software seems to be pretty intuitive and easy to learn. Anyway, thanks again for the great work and I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Good job in finding your answers and being confident with the program. Should you desire to take your estimating to the next level we have Xactimate Certification Courses to acquire levels 1-3 taught by our Certified Xactimate Trainer. Let us know how we can help you in the future.😊
@@EstimateMastery I have taken a course via webinar and have notes. Do you have an examination that I can take to become certified and what is the price? Thank you. Brenda
Hi! Would you recommend taking the online classes even after learning from videos like these on youtube? Im new to the industry and wanted to know if i really needed to @@brendabrown1845
I’m on my 2nd week of a deployment with ZERO training, my truck died the first day here, I’m too far in to go back home a failure!!!! I need help so bad
Thank you. This really helped me to understand what I need to do with Xactimate. I'm a first time IA. I haven't started yet still doing my training. I will be looking at more of your pages to help me in my training. Thank you so much.
Excellent, very detailed info. Well presented and easy to understand for the most part. My only suggestion pertains to people who are new to the restoration industry: when you talk about abbreviations such as D&R, R&R, TPA, etc, it would be helpful if you told us what these abbreviations mean.
Wonderful info for a beginner like me. Where can I find a list of your videos in order as the best way to watch them as a beginner? Thanks for the great vids!
I have no experience with the house vocabulary but the technical stuff was very easy to understand. I worry like how would I know to use drywall or special paint coats ?! Or like what you said about the fan and then it might become electric
I wasn't able to find the beginners tutorial for contractors. I'm a homeowner creating an estimate for a water leak. I've been in construction for 30 years and work in BIM using Revit. Secondary question, do you know of any way to import data from Autodesk software (either Autocad or Revit) into Xactimate?
This was helpful as this software isn't very "user friendly". I am brand new at this and just got this software and I am trying to learn it. Is there set up that should be done at the very beginning "out of the box?". If so, how/where? Also mine doesn't have the plus sign to start a new project? I am on X1 Online version. Thank you!
I'm glad you found this video helpful Darla! There are a couple of things you want to make sure to do - add yourself as the Claim Rep/Estimator and get your estimate branded correctly with a company header and opening statement. As for the difference in versions, I use the Desktop version of X1. The online version is still in the version 28 format, not X1, so it will look different than my screen in this video. You should be able to go to the main Projects tab in the online version and the find Add of to the right in that tab to add a new project. I wish you good luck on your journey to learning Xactimate!
