Perfect Draw: If you have cigars that need to be constantly unplugged, you're buying the wrong cigars! (and if you are dealing with a reputable dealer, you should have no problem getting them replaced or getting your money back). Sadly, most times, these cigars are the high dollar Cubans which are rarely high quality smokes.
Cubans are not as hard a draw as they were 2 years ago. My wife and I go to Cuba and she likes the Cubans. Hope Biden will relax again the new Trump restrictions to travel and buy there. Mostly I find the majority of Cubans too mild for me. Few Maduro and few full bodied. But you cant beat the Not For Export Cubans which I can buy there for less than a dollar per stick.
No, a paper clip will not make a hard draw cigar an easy draw cigar. Regular pokers are not bladed as is PerfecDraw. To improve the draw you need to REMOVE tobacco from the cigar. A poker will not do this. But you also don't want just a hole with super packed tobacco all around. A bladed poker will chop up the tobaccos in the hole to give you an easier draw. And in rare circumstances even the PerfercDraw is too small to do the job. We went to Bob Marley's house in Jamaica and in a cigar shop bought 9 inch Royal Jamaicans. Paid $325 for the box. It was so badly plugged I had to use a long 1/16 inch WOOD Drill that removes the "chips". Saved the cigars. My smoking style is to SIP and Not PUFF. That is why I need very easy draw cigars and have to use the PerfecDraw on the majority.
The cigar Glue is way overpriced and is too tiny for serious unravelment. The brush and the volume are too small to do the job. I use a small plastic vial. I put 1/3 teaspoon of powdered cigar glue with distilled water and apply with my finger. I can get 1/2 lb. of cigar glue for $24. You could also use a 2x size bottle to theirs and a bulbous brush. Priced at $9 for that miniscule amount of cigar glue it is way too excessively priced. There is also a good copy of PerfecDraw's bladed poker on the market for about half the price. Regarding Xicar butane, I just don't see the difference to value paying $10. I buy FasFil butane 300ml/10.15oz from Total Wine for $2.99
