My tips: For new players, I suggest playing a simple fast-growth dinosaur like Dryo or Troodon. They reach adulthood quick and are excellent to learn the mechanics with. They are fast and allow you explore the island and their small stature allows you to hide easily. If you die it's no big deal, not much investment lost. Herbivores can graze on grass. It doesn't go above 20% HP, but it prevents you from starving. Starvation is not an issue for herbivores. Broadcasting (1) makes your dino heard by others. It covers a pretty large radius. Use it to find a herd/pack if others broadcast back. But be careful, carnivores can hunt you down. If you spam broadcast it makes others easy to pinpoint and find you. Friendly (2) to show another dinosaur you have good intentions and mean no harm. Hold 2 to form groups. You can chat with eachother. You can only talk with dinos of the same species as you. Threaten (3) to tell someone to back off, it signifies hostile intentions. Usually a fight ensues. Use it to contest a carcass for example. You're telling him to go away, this is your food, if he also calls 3 that means there's gonna be a fight. Scared (4) is self-explanatory. Use it when getting chased, or you don't want to fight, or your friend got killed, or you got startled by an ambush, etc.

I have many questions about the game. I bought it a long time ago, tried learning from a player with 15,000 hours (who taught me nothing because i made a small joke about the clan and they banned me), then returned recently and still have no clue what i'm doing. 1: Thanks for explaining the scent icons. Never knew what the lines mean. 2: Do you have any guides showcasing the entire map? I get lost easily. And with Envirma looking the same for the most parts, it's hard to tell where i am. 3: As the Omnivore Aquatic Berdi (i think it's called that), i can smell meat on the compass. But, my small size can't even take nibbles from a fresh, dead body? 4: I have no idea how to use Global Chat. 5: I have no idea how to mate or even make the nest. Is it like Beasts of Bermuda, where the female can have as many eggs as she can handle? Or, is it a system where it's mate once, lay egg to mate again. 6: Is there a way to group up with others without having to randomly encounter them? I'm certainly not going to 2 call every minute and hope. Heck, another Bendi found me while i was searching for food. It was friendly. But, i didn't know how to chat or group up. So, i was scarred shitless and just swam through a lake at night. Didn't know if it was hunting me or not. 7: Is there lore as to why the map's boundary wall is an magnetic barrier? Can't pass it and trying to swim to it just pulls you under.

All dinosaurs can smell meat, and no omnivore can eat player meat, only AI meat 4. Global chat doesn't exist in evrima 5. Watch my nesting guide for that 6. No, you need to find the person and 2 call it to accept or send a request 7. Not really, it's just so you don't fly there and "accidentally" crash in the middle of the ocean and then go blaming the devs.
@@SunstriderGames-cx7vr global chat exists in the old game called legacy, are you sure you are not playing it? When you buy the game, it comes with a beta called "Evrima". Though I need to say that global chat is in development for UNOFFICIAL Servers in evrima, but indeed they don't exist in the official ones

im really dumb so i need someone to explain it to me in simple step but how do i fix this? why when im trying to enter the isle its shows this DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument. i have this when im trying to enter The Isle ( i put evrima the other beta works ) PLZ HELP 🙏

Please explain to me, is it ok that for example on carno or galli LMB atack and ALT+LMB attack have no difference in animations and mechanics of usage, but apparently deals different amount of damage? I mean I can use LMB in any direction and it looks exactly like ALT+LMB
it's simple to fix: go to settings > gameplay > check the last box I don't know why but the game always comes with the box unchecked, making you lose your normal attack.
@@KougaArt Thanks very much! Actually I'm only getting used to the hole combat system, so the dino attacking in the direction the player is looking makes sense for me, but now I guess I need to learn how to aim with the head of my dino not with the camera, it feels quite interesting
@@KougaArt And also I'm not sure if i'm not missing something: so normal attack is just basic tool for combat and directional attack is more like an ability that you should not use all the time cause it costs some stamina and often can be quite slow and too long lasting, these are reasons, am I right or not?
@@Rodina14 yes, you're right! Alt attacks can be slower and they do consume stamina per use. People often use it when they are getting followed from behind or when you know your alt will deal better damage than the normal attack, despite being slow. You'll get used to it and learn, be free to check my combat guides ^^
Hi, do you have any idea why I can't get evrima to install? I click on install and it loads, but nothing happens. There's nothing else.😅 Also, I can't find the anticheat-thing in my files, so that's that. Somethings not right, right?
Hiya, you can try to verify files through steam, usually some files get corrupted or just vanish from the folder. Right click the game in steam > properties > files > verify integrity
When I tried to switch to the evrima public server and launch the game, it told me that Easy Anti Cheat wasn't installed and closed my game. Is that something I need to download from a 3rd party?
Love how you explain what to do in the sanctuary for herbivores, but do not explain anything for carnivore. This information is also missing from your individual dino vids...sigh
any you want! if you live in USA you can use the NA servers, if you live in Europe then use EU, but it's not restricted, you can play In any, just be careful of the high ping, it affects the gameplay a lot
