I know I'm 2 years late, but thank you for this! I like how you don't assume the viewer knows anything and you don't just ramble on about "Do this first. Do this 2nd, etc" You explain the "why" behind the actions and let the viewer make up their minds. This is how a true beginners guide should be structured.
Exactly. I was trying to find the initial choices like the difficulties and almost noone explains them. Everyone begins with take that ability, wear that armor type etc and I was so lost.
Wanted to say thank you for making a video like this, even 3 years later this was a massive help. Really appreciate the work that goes into making this kinda stuff!
Found this as BG3 player who just got DOS2 on sale on Steam. Having played BG3 and being a veteran to rpgs, a lot of this was pretty basic for me, but a few tips really stood out. For one, I didn't know that action points can carry over. That's HUGE! But I want to say, even though I knew a lot of the stuff you covered, this is a great video and very much what I was looking for: a very general guide for complete newcomers. Thank you. I did pick an origin character and I'm probably going to stick with it, but I might go back to the save where I first hit level 2 and look at some different options.
Let me compliment your English, which is very clear and easy to understand. I am very impressed that you leaned later in life, but you still speak much better English than many native speakers who are making similar videos. This is a much better explained introductory tutorial video than any other I have seen.
Divinity original sin story + Diablo 3's combat = perfect game. Love the story but its frustrating for someone like me who is new to turn based real RPGs. I wish they would make it a little easier on newcomers
Just had an urge to play baldurs gate 3 but because its still early access I thought this might be a good time to try this game again. Its been sitting in my steam library and :D
Could you do a Combat Tutorial for Divinity Original Sin 2? As in how to effectively win and not how it works. I've had problems to win fights at the beginning up to a point where i would lose basically every fight i came across (i was playing the Red Lizard Prince as i did not know you could still do Origin Quests when starting out as a Custom Char). As a side note, while i did figure out many things by myself this tutorial still teached me some things i did not know before so kudos to you.
