Thanks for this vid! I've always wanted to get into FM but always found it daunting to look at. This has made things a lot clearer for me now to go in and try it! Thanks for the heads up on the the other comments too.. currently have it through game pass but will get it on epic too just in case it gets taken off game pass in the future.
I'm watching this because I got the game as part of a recent Humble Bundle. I've not kept up with sports that much, but I'm willing to give it a try as my local club Sporting Kansas City. Here's hoping I have a good time C:
I preferred the old games when wingers and fullbacks crossed the ball into the box rather than cutting it back to the halfway line from the byline. I also vaguely remember when strikers scored one on ones. Those were fun. I've had half my team complaining that I wasn't being fair to a player by not offering him a new contract, despite the fact he had been offered a new contract and was considering it. The there was my team unhappy with me about being mid table, despite the fact we'd played half as many games as the rest of the league due to Europe, and we'd won every game This game is hopeless. Too many stupid bugs.
Pretty new to the newer versions of FM. Is it normal to be getting like 20-30 shots in the pre season friendlies? Opponents have been getting like 5-10 shots in. Playing as Bayer Leverkusen and not played anyone decent so far.
It's normal. Every team start with low match sharpness, it'll take a few games to get them upto normal. But if you're getting outplayed by every weak opponent, there's some serious problems/misbalance within the squad
VERY. I just finished downloading this game yesterday and ive been so hooked, legit cant stop playing. Never played FM before so it was very confusing at first
Do you enjoy management sim games? This is a fantastic football league management simulator. It has a learning curve, but there are a bunch of people on YT who have helpful vids. Zealand, FM Scout, and WorkTheSpace. If you don't like sim games, it won't be for you.
Just got this for free, 5 minuites into this video and i do not want to touch this game wearing a full hazmat suit. And strategy/management games are my favourite.
What does the player database mean? Because no matter what you choose it seems to have all leagues and players in the game anyway so I want to know what stuff to click you know?

GameShock the main aspect of the game is tactics and man management. If ur one that cares a lot about the engine, then it’s not for u. I don’t mind it though, especially if ur on pc as there’s a bigger variety of goals on there. I’m on touch and I often don’t see any absolute crazy goals like shots from 50 yards.
There is a striker soft cap on about 20 goals per striker in the premier league excluding penalties. When a striker hits the soft cap he will simply stop scoring, that´s been my experience with 20 seasons in the PL. Calling it a "soft" cap because if you made your own team of only superstars I am sure they could break that cap given enough chances in front of goal. As it currently stands I am ranked 1 in the world with Gateshead and have only elite players, currently have 6 elite strikers and they all get exactly around 20 goals and just stop scoring after that, only the penalty taker exceeds that tally. It seems to apply to the AI as well, the only ones I have seen exceeding the 20 goal cap are penalty takers.

hello, i need help, after i installed this game and took over my team, when i click on a player right click, i dont get full options like make a transfer offer etc? does anyone know why? also when i took over my national team, i press right click and i dont have full option menu, i cant even add or remove player from my national team, so wtf? anyone knows what i did wrong?
I start a new career with Hoffenheim, but Paul McGuinnes and many others are not in the new career but they were there in the old career and many of the same talent scouts have gotten worse stats in the new save. normal Football Manager 2020 database I use
Good video, however it doesn't show how to give a team talk to a substitute- Every football manager game before this one allows you do give a prep/team talk, but this game doesnt. Apparently there is a bug with this, that many people have and as far as Im aware you cant fix it! Makes the game a bit unrealistic as every manager always gives a few words of wisdom to oncoming subs!
It doesn't seem all that different to FM 2011 which is the last version I have played. I hope they've not gone too far down the rabbit hole with press conferences, and made every single little bit of tactics overly detailed. By which I mean you have to specify how often a defender tackles and moves into a certain part of the pitch, whether a winger wears pink or blue boots and runs like a crab.........
Just wish there are mobile games for this kind of football manager.. Where we act like in the real life seasons and not like the pes club manager ones... We just follow each years like what real life manager, transfer and youth etc.
I've been absent from FM since 2015. Can anyone tell me if it still has the ptoon to have to simplified version of the game, as in, for example, the 97/98 to 01/02 editions
Stopped playing this game years ago, FM17 was last version bought, but team instructions were always ignored so I refused to buy any more. Gave it another go due to Covid19 and locked in the house but still get annoyed. Play ball into box means don't shoot, shoot on site means will only shoot from 40 yards plus, short passing means long balls, run at defence means pass as soon as a defender gets close and those are just some of the many many flaws. Awful game
Guys i just started playing and i've been assigned as a U19 Spain manager, how do i get to assign responsibilities about scouting etc? I can't complete my team because i dont have any players in the national pool but few. If somebody help pls! ?????
@@kiriakosaq i think it's because only the head coach for the senior team has control over the scouting. But if you manage other clubs, you'll have the knowledge available for their own scouting system
I won the Premier League and Europa League double in my first time of playing football manager. Does that make me a brilliant manager or is the game that easy?
@@AJ-ep9is I'm about to buy FM20 and I think it's better without difficulty levels. Maybe the reason you won the double is because you're either good at the game or you chose a team thats a given to win the double.
@@lewiscannon8213 I only brought Maddison in. I relied on the tactics of my staff which I think is the safest bet if you want your team to do well. Too many tweaks on your own doesn't bode well for an established team like United as I found out pretty quickly.
Lol get rid of some deadwood. I never started with arsenal so I don't really know but you'll get a cash injection every year or if you're getting results you can persuade the board to increase the transfer budget. You can also adjust the salary-transfer budget slider
Its because all the transfers in real life have been added to the game when it starts. I think there's an option to set it to 'original squads' which is from the end of the previous season. If you do that your transfer budget will go up.
Can you help me? I have a bug of all the faces of the Man utd, that I can't see the real faces of players. I downloaded face megapack 2020, but they don't appear me in game without sense. The only one face unlocked is IGHALO while the others don't exist.
I realize nobody buys this game for the graphics but do the menus, lockeroom And coach always look like swag Dreamcast? I’m hoping my settings are messed up but I have graphics on highest settings. Menus are pixely and my character looks awful. Again, I know graphics aren’t the highpoint of this game. Just want to male sure I didn’t mess anything up. There’s literally a chunk missing out of my sweater collar...
I’ve tried to convert from FIFA 20 career mode to FM20, but am finding it quite confusing and boring if I’m honest, does it get better if I stick with it/ does anyone have any tips to make it easier to start
This game is about micromanagement. I usually take 10 minutes preparing for a match. Then there's scouting, training, staffs etc. It's 10x more complicated than FIFA. It'll definitely take weeks for anyone to get completely acquainted with it
What do you recommend if I’m not knowledgeable about any specific team? I enjoy soccer and want to enjoy this game but without being super informed about any specific team this has been really difficult
You are gonna have to start an online career. Pick your club and start it. And when you get to the first home screen after you loaded and saved the match your friend needs to look for your server name, and then get in to your save using that server name. Hes gonna do "add new head coach" and then he picks his own club and bam! you can play together :)
