Can you try alcohol ink painting on tiles or yupo / grafix craft plastic sheets? I'd love to see it done from the perspective of a true couple of beginners because all the RU-vid vids I watch are from people highly skilled.
@@orphicfemme7694 we actually did try it on tile here (also this is the video where Evan doesn't have a beard): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XXWHYc0G5hY.html
Awesome job guys!! 🥰 I’m glad to hear you enjoyed my jellyfish! I really like the glow in the dark idea! Let me know if you need some tips from the acrylic pouring world haha 😋
It would be so fun to watch you guys do a Bob Ross with flow acrylic paints! Just watching Katelyn try to make it look exact while the paint keeps moving would be hilarious!!
He was afraid that if he only swapped the lid, it wouldn't fit correctly and would fall off. With how easily the original lid came off, there was a good chance that the bottle top was smaller or manufactured weird.
@@dawnthegoblin Oh man, I haven't heard that one! I'm still reeling from learning how my bottle of diet Dr. Pepper was pure poison for controlling the populace as it slowly kills us. I was feeling nihilistic and looked her in the eye as I took a big sip.
@@Carrie2085 They already kinda did the resin thing too. There's only so many materials and techniques to try in the world, I think the layers idea is really cool and could create some interesting depth and distance effects.
I think the jellyfish turned out lovely (even with Evan wanting to add "just a little more" towards the end.) If they plan to do an extra final resin layer to smooth this piece out, I would love to see final result. ❤️️
When Evan tries the stars with the brush, maybe try a toothbrush for the same effect. Harder bristles might work better when running a finger/thumb over with the paint... be warned, could be messy
I was kinda sad when I read you guys wouldn't post a video but then I felt a happiness in my heart when I saw the link to this video, thanks for continuing to bring us content :) I have 2 suggestion for you guys: 1. try adding time stamps on your videos. 2. MAKE MORE BOARD GAMES or real-life games/stuffs in general I'm guilty of watching the entire stream of the previous word game you played on the night before my uni exam 😂
The glitch at 46:12 had me thinking I'd lost my mind lol. I'm so tired I thought it was my brain that glitched, but a quick rewind proved that I am of sound mind... well, in regards to this anyways lol.
I don’t know if it’s a real window making that light behind you guys, but it looks great ! Even if it’s a light box with a windowpane filter on it, that’s more impressive 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! Yup, it's actually an Aputure light in a spotlight mount with a GOBO :) Might be fun to mix it up sometimes and confuse people with how our window is changing haha
The jellyfish is definitely my favorite but the only thing that really freaking bugged the crap out of me was the tentacles. I feel like you should have done another red one on the right side. It felt like the left side had more detail and the right was unfinished. But that's just my opinion. Besides that great job! I love It.
Evan's black hole almost looks like a supernova explosion after time! I think if Katelyn were changing her canvas with the butterfly perhaps she'd have more control over it? Because I think when going left to right your other hand was blocking it so maybe it made it harder to see? I dunno! The jellyfish looks sick! Really awesome!!
So sad I missed this live but it turned out amazing. Lovin that jelly. So glad chaos Evan didn’t get too chaotic. The prank and tickle break was great.
Even though this video is 2 years old i would like to thank you guys. Even with the minor chaos that occurs during the long videos you guys have really been helping me sleep. Even your chaos is calm enough that its very comforting to fall asleep to. As someone who has a really difficult time sleeping (especially with 2 wisdom teeth coming in) i sincerely thank you for existing and being wonderful people.
I love seeing your videos when you have issues! In real life stuff happens and it's nice you guys don't edit everything out! I love your channel and all your videos! Awesome work!
I didn't know you guys had done this already, but I had seen a chain pull paint tutorial recently (also from Designer Gemma 77) and immediately though you two would be perfect new testers!! I am late to the game, so I am happy you've already made this video.
I love when Katelyn says "hey chat asks for the music to be turned off" Evan just says "yes!" no questions. Doesn't even need to know why. It just gives the impression that all he wants is to make things comfortable for everyone, which is nice
The Jellyfish was my favourite - that's what I pictured when they said string/ chain pull art tbh. I kinda wish they had done more pieces like that (it was bigger and distributed the colours more but was also less stressful by the looks of things).
I know they probably don't wanna spend a ton of paint and time on these streams, but I'm always surprised they don't have a dozen spare canvases tbh (especially w/ how many ideas they usually have).
Try using a "Dollar Tree" comb to spread the white paint next time. (Dollar Tree = cheap) or a very small notch trowel. It makes it easier to keep the paint thickness even.
With how much they enjoy these and like testing new things, I could definitely picture them doing a full stream of testing different art hacks and techniques w/ a load of their ideas.
I know they only have limited time during streams like this, but I'm surprised they usually limit themselves to a canvas each. It feels like they have so many great ideas - it would be great to see them get to create a few more pieces, especially after they learn what works and what methods/ ideas they prefer.
And 2000's me wore one of these for a neckless. Though I wanted mine black so I used heat shrink and then took wire stripers to cut the heat shrink at each segment without cutting the metal underneath.
The jellyfish can be interpreted in two ways; a jellyfish and flowers attached to a small pot. But also, your videos have inspired so many creatures designs from me, such as a fisherman creature, a jellyfish puppeteer, a creature with the concept of tensegrity, geode samurai (tho samurai was from Jazza), a defense system using lenticular lens/frosted glass... I can't wait to see more videos and be more inspired! XDYou guys are my muse and source of info for anything.
Ummm, use an old toothbrush for splatters of paint - works very well. Also, put a 4x8 piece of pegboard up (painted to match your garage walls) and get peg board hooks (also painted to match the peg board) so you can put up/take down any artwork/items as you wish without putting lots of holes in the walls or having to continually buy the command-style hooks. I did this in my front room years ago (the walls were cement - I was living in my parents' basement at the time) and I could change the pictures I took of my trip to England whenever I wanted something different.
I love how one of the mugs in the background looks like a little demon with the red handle to what I can only assume is a pair of pliers sticking out of the top like little red horns.
Why is the dislike button even a thing? Not interested/don't like? Click away ... Anyways, loved this project! Would love more but anything and everything you do is always a pleasure to watch! Thanks and hope Evan is healing well!
9:30 , if this stream happened on the 26th of aug then yes, that day was mcc (minecraft championship) and usually more than 28 people streams it on twitch and more than 100 K people watches one stream, so its understandable if twitch is a bit laggy on the 26th, so look out for that day cuz the minecraft community is unstoppable :D
please watch some spray paint artists (Skech Art is my favorite) and try it I wonder if it is as easy as they make it look. I think Evan would love the space art he does .
