Beginning with New Testament Greek is a brand new Greek grammar for biblical Greek, from Drs. Benjamin Merkle and Rob Plummer. With so many beginning Greek grammars available, what makes this grammar different? This is part 2 of my interview with Dr Plummer from earlier in 2020 where we discussed this book.
In Part 1 we discussed why students should consider this book, and in this video, we look more behind the scenes and ask what's in it for teachers and professors.

I loved working as an online student under Dr Plummer at SBTS. I'm currently in my 3rd semester under him with the Exegesis of James. Love his teaching format with the videos. I plan to purchase this Grammar in the future. Thanks so much for this interview!!! God bless all of you!

I just went and pre ordered this, I has seen it online and knew of Dr. Plummer but I couldn't find anything out about the book, until I got this email today and watched both videos. Cant wait for it to get here and go through it, I am on Greek I and they use the Mounce system, but I am still going to work through this one, as well. Thank You for you time in making all of these great videos Brother, God Bless.

You folks are doing something good here, in introducing this grammar initiative to the waiting company of saints. You have given a friendly and helpful face to encourage the company of Christians to learn Greek.

This is where the distinction between semantics and pragmatically is so helpful in regards to time in the indicative, in my humble opinion.

Yes. I’m starting to read more opposing positions now. Interesting reading.

I have it on pre order and looking forward to checking it out. Hopefully helpful to have several grammars to solidify concepts in my mind.

We should integrate the International Phoenetic Alphabet into the teaching of New Testament Greek. I do this but have not written a textbook yet. Mrs. Jo Ellen Moore.

The gramar sounds intriguing-especially the linking of videos and other website info which can be continuously updated. It is strange that there are no immediate plans to release this in an electronic format since this would facilitate the easy linking to the ancillary electronic resources mentioned by Dr. Plummer

The publisher is responsible for electronic distribution. In the case of B&H, they will probably publish to WORDSearch, which is their own platform. Personally, I think academic and Greek works like this should be published on all the major platforms, but it is their decision not mine.

Thank you very much for the interview, it's great to hear from a New Testament Greek scholar. I have struggled for a long time with objective and subjective genitives, and the possibility that some of them are plenary genitives seems very relevant and decisive for exegesis. How do you address this topic in Dr Plummer's new book? Is there a list of genitives that could be plenaries? God bless you

Glad it was helpful! I'm not aware of a complete list, but there are a few examples in Wallace's Greek Grammar: Beyond the Basics.
