I've recently seen a second hand EX in mint condition for sale, for "only" €2k. Almost got interested in it, but never before I watch an honest review by a qualified rider/reviewer. Seems like its a Noooogoodeeee for now. Wheels performs well but the rest needs improvement. I'm glad I decided to wait for the nth bug free batch before doing anything. I know its a preproduction test unit & all but its too expensive to gamble with issues. Thanks for the honest review!

Watched this for the second time and just realised how funny it is when those parts fall off. I'm riding a 2019 MSX and am asking myself regularly how the production quality of their newer wheels could have gone south that bad.
Ooooff Nogode! That is rough! Haha but I find it interresting to see no real engineering was done on that preproduction wheel / design before it got your way! They kinda lean on you to find out what breaks and what doesn't.. It's a wierd way of engineering stuff, but an interresting one nonetheless.
It is a pity that my problem expectation for EUCs will always be fulfilled this is my curse. Year 2020 has only 2 peaks in EUC time MSP(classic) and veteran sherman. A lost year and too many hopes holow bearing fail , all suspension EUC come with problems/complications. IP rating is lost like standard in 2020.
2K EU is a little steep when it is a 50% complete (waterproofing etc) prototype so will end up in the tip pretty quick as it will break. If its Chinese they are not our friend btw! go Taiwan & Korea.
12:46 you can't get short circuit on charge port.. it has protection.. you can use your keys to short it, all late 2019 and 2020 models have it.. it is also doubled pin so you can charge up to 9 amps per the plug if your charger also has doubled wired pin
I shorted the port when riding (water) and I’ve seen other riders breaking the port. I shorted the port once as well when a pin out of my charger fell into the port. It’s just a bad port in a bad place
@@mr_wrongway on which wheel did you shorted? your 84V Nikola? This change came into place October 2019 .. so all new models since then have that protection.. KS16X and 18XL also had the latch in front of the wheel , in fact we just repaired one of those 16X with bad plug due to water damage.. as of Sherman ask Mikkie in Sweedan, he burned his board when plugged in the second charger late November.. sometimes 2 is not the best way either.

Like in inmotion v11. it is light and portable, reliable construction, 60 to 90 km of autonomy, besides being the most beautiful of all the current designers. For getting around cities we don't need more than that, this is my brief opinion. However, it is obvious that there is a niche in the market that will want to travel with the unicycle. hahaha.
ive been saving up for one of the pro series gotways, but they seem to be a resounding disappointment, they came for veteran and they missed! im not going to abandon them yet, im going to wait until the spring or the summer and hope some upgraded versions come out at better prices possibly.
Thanks for the video, but seeing non protected suspension rods with a non standard (huge) pump, this is a no go. Maybe the motor is good, but i suspect the suspension to be failing after not more than 2000 km Hopefully in 2021 the Kingsong gets a proper motor and battery size

I think Gotway may run themselves out of business with the garbage they've been releasing lately. This is ridiculous with the hollow bore motors! I'm almost tempted to buy a second Sherman to keep in reserve lol it is such a great cruising wheel!! No other EUC comes close to the Sherman!!
@@Papalou1234 Its funny you say that because I've actually been toying with the idea of buying a Nikola+ to use as my rain/wet weather wheel. Nik is a good water resistant wheel w/ the old style bearing and people just love the way it rides! Duf said Gotway halted production using hollow core motors until bearing situation can be solved!! My Sherman is and will always be my baby though lol
Very important question teacher- at higher speeds 20 miles/hr and up the turning technique is different than at low speed, am I right- I was actually extending forward or a bit on the side the INSIDE turn knee and pushing sideways on the body of the EUC with the OUTSIDE leg, the part that is close to the knee . Is this all wrong way of turning at higher speeds? exactly like on skis
That's a lot of really bad quality control for a very high cash price. When you pulled the shell apart by hand I cringed 😖 Gotway/Begode really rushed this wheel to try and compete in the suspension market and it shows. Thanks for the honest review Adam 🙏Great as always 👍 👍 👍
so it looks that the only real competition for Sherman could be only........... EXN, not Ex. EXN is muuuch simpler, lighter, based on Rs components. Suspension brings just too many problems. Will You test EXN in the near future?
Based on specs and what people describe of the ride feel.. this would be my perfect wheel. I am desperately hoping Begode fixes these things in the production model. I mean it's like 4k usd. Pleeaaade Begode, I want an EX but I also want a functional wheel 🤦🏻♂️
Good review 👍 Basically a great ride for a piece of sh!t! As someone loving my MSP and looking for suspension for my next wheel, not going to be a BGW. Just that pump pressure alone has me saying no and the rest of the issues just add to that. Cheers Cheers
WTF..just looked up the laws here in germany...EUCs are only allowed on private Land...they not only would require an insurence..they would also need a seat, a steering wheel, mirrors and indikators..also a drivers licence would been requireed.. another time i hate living here..!!!
Dear german friend. A bunch of countries in Europe have a strictly formal ban on euc’s. But the rest of us barely give it a thought- It isn’t your fairly average rules that are the problem- it’s your bloody unwavering commitment ment to follow rules in general. SHNELL!!! Just get on the bloody wheel and ride it like there’s no tomorrow.

I just hope KS ups their game on speed, then no place for EX to exist period. Such expensive mistake, not willing to gamble anything more than 3K. A lot of money for such low quality product. Crazy how they get away with our money. Not going to buy another Begode until they up their games on quality and design. The rests are catching up with speed, so they really don't have a choice anymore.
Is it just me or it's really BIZARRE to have a 3k+ USD wheel with such a lousy build?? Although, if Gotway sells them it's because there are buyers that seem to just don't mind it at all that much...
gotway/begode have set a standard that people have become used to. Everything rides on their wheels performance, which, while working is incredible to experience. it's the reason people are so accepting. However - I own a MSX and MSP, two of their better models - and they are so fragile it's just dumb. I want to buy another new Gotway for the performance, but I don't know if I can based upon my own experience with their wheels
to buy them for the performance and at the same time having it to be the less safe euc out there it’s just so counterintuitive to me... Ok, I get the thrill that it provides, but still, i’ve just seen too many GW cutoffs at this point, I don’t know if 5 mph more and a bit of extra torque is worth such an extra risk...
A good wheel for dry conditions only ;) the manufactures of this wheel must be a common idiots using wood screws into plastic shell . I bet they have low education.
Good video, sad content. Mindless "power": overpriced, superfragile boxyness, pseudo suspension, useless trolley handle, single charge port. Bearings, bearings, bearings. tis a laff. Gotway will have serious competition from ppl leaving them and .... from Korea. This wheel is for the ADHD segment. made by silly engineers. Lets hope Sherman will make a suspension wheel. They probably wont. Maybe EUC guys idea about extra handle on the old monster is usefull here ?
