We had a chance to try out the Begode Hero with Sheridan Miller in Portland, Oregon this week. It's a very stable wheel, albeit heavy, and capable of some serious offroading. The shock system absorbed all the bumps, potholes, and ruts we threw at it, and Sheridan even caught some air!

They're gonna have to significantly lower the price to get these off the shelf. I would be interested in one at a lower price point. His comments don't reflect well on the master either.

The Master build isn't the greatest, this thing is built like a tank. I agree about the price point, Begode shot themselves in the foot again.

nice to see Sheridan on this video! how about the suspension compared to the master? because I bottomed out too easily and I would like to have the hero if and only if the suspension is better thanks!

Great video you guys. Seems like the Hero is slept on, but I have a feeling in a year from now it’ll be viewed as one of the greats.

@@nazzhk6268 hey man, I love my Hero. I just ordered an EX30 though because after a year of riding I want to go faster and further. I already know I'll miss the built in speaker that I used to blast tunes as I ride, so now I've spent the cheddar to upgrade my helmet and add a speaker. If you're okay with the range and the speed the hero is a no-brainer. I will say though that tire changes are a massive PITA on the Hero, and not so much on the Master - so take that into consideration as well. My RS 19 HT just shipped and this is the first EUC youtube video I've seen (and I've seen them all) that mentions pedal dipping and the RS in the same breath, which is one of the reasons I bought an RS. I was on a Hero about a month ago and did experience significant forward pedal dipping on turns. If it's present on my incoming RS, I'll likely sell it and continue my search - it's such an off-putting sensation to feel like you're going to slide forward off a wheel on sustained turns.

All Gotways have this, you can switch the firmware to lessen it though.

@@eRideLife I'm prepared to deal with a small amount of it on the RS, but out of around 10 people who own it that I've asked none of them have said it's considerable on the RS. I have 2 Kingsong 16x's with 10k combined miles and they don't dip forward at all when turning so maybe I'm just spoiled. I found the dipping on both the Hero and Sherman Max to be a deal breaker. Just because it's present with several wheels doesn't mean I have to like it.. lol ; )

@@CrossroadWater no one likes it, we just have to deal with it. 45 degree cut-off with no adjustment was a much bigger problem, and they fixed that so fingers crossed.

@@eRideLifeYes indeed, here's to hoping they make improvements on pedal dipping. That said, until that day comes I don't have to deal with it, I'm just not going to buy EUC's that have it.

@@CrossroadWater The performance of the RS is enough reason to buy it over the others. there are two firmware modes where one has a much more pronounced dip. Honestly I don't even notice unless I'm doing berms, but I have a lift kit too...
