You're my favourite RU-vidr now Nora and I'm just binge watching you cos I've just realised I've missed a few videos 😱 This video was perfect timing for me cos my polka dot begonia (not sure if it's a white ice as it was gifted to me by an old greek lady who doesn't know the English names haha) . I reckon it might be a white ice but not 100% sure 🤔 Anyhoo, mine needs propagating too and was itching to use my Clonex gel. Thanks so much for sharing 🙏🏼👏🏼💖

Hi Nora, I’ve got a question regarding going from soil to semi hydro. I’m only a beginner and I started to plant all my plants in pon. All of them are doing good except my begonia summers. Is this due to me not taking the long step of letting them soak up in water first? If so will they eventually survive? I am using GT foliage and GT root zone on them. When I get my rare plants in a month I’ll be transferring them to leca as there’s more videos on leca than pon, btw I also live in Australia so it’s good to know someone doing semi hydro in the same hemisphere 😊

Hello Nora, Great tutorial. I also use zip ties and love them. In larger leca pots I will zip tie plastic tubes on each side of the pot that will offer support to longer poles. They work great with plant stakes. I can't take credit for this idea. Kevin from Hakunalaplanta does this. They are plastic tubes used for supporting layered wedding cakes. Tried finding that specific video of Kevin's but didn't have any luck. Check it out you may have better luck than I did.🙃

I have several cane begonias that have lost a lot of lower leaves. The tops are full and lush but they look ridiculous with long bare stems. How can i get the stems to sprout new growth. I hate the idea of having to chop off the tops and propogate. I typically dont do well propogating cane begonias

Hi Nora great tuto about propagating this way. My white ice also has smaller leaves then yours. Did you try propagating the leaves you had to remove, they will root but dont grow new stems in my experience.

Just ordinary black tape. Nothing special. I generally tend to get the cheapest one I can find. It just needs to keep the light out so anything will do.

Hi Nora. This is a little off topic of this video, but a few weeks ago you posted about a calathea. I commented that I had bought myself that same plant (along with two other calathea) on Mother's day and was going to be putting them in leca. Another subscriber asked me to keep her updated on how it was doing. She posted again a few days ago and asked how it was doing, but I accidentally lost the post before I could respond. I have looked back through all the videos but I can't find a single one that mentions calathea, or that I commented on about it. Could you possibly direct me to a recent (sometime just after Mother's day 2022) video that you did on a calathea? And by the way, I have not yet put it in leca. 🙃

Not yet, she is doing well, I did have to remove the tip cutting and put it to root further, it was not doing well. I might do a 60 second shorts update, watch out for it!
