“Tell me about a time when you…?”
“Explain a situation when you…?”
HOW TO USE THE STAR TECHNIQUE TO ANSWER BEHAVIORAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
- Start off and explain the SITUATION you were in.
- Describe the TASK that needed to be done.
- Explain in detail the ACTION you took.
- Reveal the (positive) RESULTS of your actions.
