I just got hired for a LTR position and this really helped me calm my nerves. I was really rethinking whether I should be in the profession because I was feeling overwhelmed at the thought of teaching. key points from this talk: 1. dont over do praise because it sounds disingeniuos 2. some kids dnt like public praise therefore do it privately or write it in their book. 3. d.t should be a punishment so get them to copy, etc.

Guys, it is always nice to listen such a calm and cool answers but when you are in front of 30 clowns, it is difficult and different ball game. According to the latest news last year 50,000 teachers quit the teaching profession due to behaviour issues by kids and tonnes of paper work etc. UK education system & parents itself spoil kids first and then tell teachers to get away with it. Poor teachers.
