As a former Christian, I have to say that shot of Gabriel blowing the trumpet sent chills down my spine. The imagery here is incredible and I'm mad at myself for just now discovering Behemoth. Amazing stuff

Its pretty straightforward symbolism, but pretty heavily veiled if you aren't familiar with mythology. In Christian mythology, Gabriel blows the horn to signal the apocalypse, and video and the lyrics are showing the corruption of Eden/Eve by the 'snake' or the opposer/satan, maybe even Gabriel, its kind of vague and hard to tell. Everyone devouring the blood and flesh of Christ, kind of playing on the concept of such a pagan and cannabalistic concept, as well as its putrefaction at at the hands of Satan, is touched on in the lyrics. The wolf is the one, the 'evil', the free spirit unshackled by faith or religion, the strength the will to power, a concept of Neitzsche. The guy in black is sacrificing the 'sheep', the flock, the weak, religious, devout, all the flocks and masses that walk to the tune of jesus, and he is then 'enlightened' at their appearance. Hosanna is "save us" or basically a word of prayer, they'll slaughter all the holy children of god left on the world, the line of David (of David and Goliath fame) is a line of hebrew kings, which they will snuff out. Ever since Pagan Vastlands and Zos Kia Kultus, Behemoth has been getting better at digging deep for their esoteric demonic imagery going back to mesopotamia and early mysticism, the devil of multiple faiths. Its basically just really well researched demonic mythology, they actually have probably done more research and learned more about the Abrahamic religions that they don't even believe in than 90% of actual unlearned, ignorant religious people.

You know what’s funny? I’m a Christian but I love this song and video. It is pure art and describes so well how the corruption and hypocrisy in the church is viewed. Behemoth rocks!

There's a naked woman who is dripping blood out of her empty eye sockets, and they unironically censor her breasts and genitals because those are considered more family hostile than the gore for this website. it is interesting because i am a phd student in philosophy interested in religious psychology and i have read all sacred texts that belong to the well-known three religions but i absolutely adore this as a work of art and how he actually creates (the writer of the lyrics) an alternative world-view using the same terminology with christianity.

Took the award for best occult music video for a black metal band . The photography on this is sick , and always has been. After another visit to this video after about 10 years and it still has the best imagery and cinematography ever.

This track is a masterpiece of metal. The escalation, the guitar-created atmosphere, the insane drumming, the acidic vocals all brought together by the cinematic eye and ear of a killer producer. Seriously this is as epic as metal can be.

The way Behemoth mocks the Angel Gabriel is so chilling. I am so tired of the sacrilegious and blasphemous imagery of metal music, because it’s not shocking anymore, but Behemoth makes it scary again. The Catholic boy in me makes me feel like I shouldn’t be listening to this, and that feels great.

After many years of deliberation, after ignoring all the Behemoth videos RU-vid has thrown at me, I decide to check them out today with this particular song for no reason whatsoever and find that they're right up my alley. I don't know if all their stuff sounds like this song, but this song is what I imagine a band named Behemoth would sound like. I gotta go check out their entire discography now. Damn! If only I'd clicked on that first video the algorithim threw at me those many years ago, I'd be up to speed on these guys and wouldn't have all this homework to do. To be honest, the reason I always ignored Behemoth is because I never thought they would appeal to my particular, albeit, picky taste in Metal. But this Gabriel Blow Your Trumpet song, it gets me to thinking, "Hey! Lets check these mofos out!". Well, off to the "official channel", I suppose...
