You are all wrong about the price of his bike. I read an article a while back saying that each one of his bikes is just over $54,000. And he has 8 bikes. I forgot where I read the article, but it was out of a magazine that did a review of his bike. Hell, the pegs alone are $5,000.
Your sooooo off lol and so are they. it was ESPN who did the article and they were very wrong, too($43,899). the reason is because they don't count the price to use special engineers who come and design handmade things, like oil coolers, footpegs, chassis designing, and I guarantee they where kinda throwing stuff out there in the article...also the amount of testing they do and machine modifying stock parts has prices that are probably insane.
is more around 100k+.What this video does not tell is that, the suspension is only made for him and its a works suspension and they are extremely expensive that us normal poor ppl can NOT afford. on top of that there r tons of titanium stuff all over the bike including SPOKES.Also the transmission is hand crafted and it is only made for RV with some special materials that us poor ppl will NEVER see.So this bike looks kind of stock but its NOT. High Grade titanium martial alone is $20~$30,000+
Everything you do to this bike is expensive!!! - Cause its a four-stroke!!!!!! If they were riding two strokes it would be much cheaper an it would smell an sound better. But I'm not hating on four strokes they are still great bikes but I like two strokes more
Best thing if I was a factory rider would be going into a corner falling, getting up looking at the broken plastic bent bars and crack levers and going "FUCK! now i cant ride for a lil bit and thats gonna cost me......LOL jk where's my pracky bike at?"
haha lol...with the best riders in the world, there is no expense spaired, and they could make the bike so much more expensive if there was no rules and limits from AMA... I think this bike weighs around 229 lbs which is lowest you can go w/o breaking the rules, but im not 100%
and im also forgetting the transmission, which is made by hand and suspension which Kyle Haggerty talked about above ^^^^. They also use parts from KHI (Kawasaki Heavy Ind.) which is parts that are straight from japan instead of KMC (Kawasaki Motor Corp.) which takes part in the US
$60k-100k+ when you're talkin factory equipment. A lot of the money goes to suspension which is really the most important part at that level and the motor. Pro Circuit A-kit suspension will run you About 9-10k. And factory Showa units like on villopoto, stewarts or barcia's bike are about 25-30k.
What do you mean? During the week they take it apart and wash everything and on race day they'll probably just clean it with the power washer and soap.
Can somebody please tell me how often a rider shifts gears in a race and if you can what gear I need to use to hit jumps or come around corners in the video it says 1st gear but what about if im hittin straight should I use 5th or 4th if you can help that would be rad thanks if you can
+Dylan Creech I haven't raced, but I know that you are constantly shifting. I think that you should ride in a gearing that is most comfortable to you at first then speed things up. If you visit a track, ask people that are more your speed what gear they like to ride in for corners, jumps, etc. Hope this at least kinda helps! Sorry I couldn't completely answer you question though!
