What's absolutely wild about that is nobody thinks what that must've been like for him. He was 33 in 2013 and had the vision to buy some teenagers playing video games a place to stay to follow their dreams. He truly is a king for that. He must've at some point thought to himself "what the fuck am I doing". On top of that without him there wouldn't be a 100 thieves.

He made the drive for the game endless. Make you wanna study, play, the game like him. What more excitement can you get in duty then make big plays on the hill getting 3/4 or a whole ace in search? That was this man. He’s the Kobe Bryant of duty. Came in changed the game an left with a bang in my opinion.
This is my childhood right here man. This is all of our childhoods. I have grown from a teenage kid to a grown adult and every step of the way the optic guys and Scump were there for me. Its a really strange thing to explain to those who are outside the scene, but I know everyone in here resonates with how deeply this hits in the feels. Congrats Roger and everyone behind the scenes. You did this man the justice he deserves.
Truly hard to watch, this man has changed the lives of many, hard to watch him go, proud to have watched his career and extremely proud of the figure he has been, he has taught lessons he doesnt know hes taught, now hes passing the crown.

Started watching OpTic in large part because of Scump and his insane plays, videos, and everything. Now I’ll always watch OpTic but man it’s sad without Scump. Will always be remembered as the best in the game😢

Yeah those games are def bigger but I can throw apex in who has higher view counts then any of these over the last year(maybe not cs) but doesn't keep orgs from dumbasses running EA. Franchising also ruins eSports which cod, val, OW have..(idk LoL like that or if cs is) Why orgs be going broke

Everyone under him has went on to succeed after their careers and that says alot about the man and his ability to mentor and put them in the best possible position to live a good life after they retire.
I dare say scump is a large part of the reason why eSports is so mainstream today. Him, Nade, all the OGs took Optic to heights people never could've imagined. They changed the entire content scene too. I know him and Nade had their differences but he couldn't have asked for a better person to pick up the torch when he left. Excited to see the next evolution of Optic. We're all growing older but I'll always bleed green.
Why esports is mainstream? Nah. Why CoD is mainstream? Yeah Things like DOTA and League have much bigger followings than any of the FPS games, they’d still be considered mainstream without Scump

Dota and league are probably part of the reason why it got that reputation. 🤣🤣 It's cause of these guys and similar players/orgs that people care about the industry known as eSports today... COD eSports (and more specifically Optic) put gaming on the map in America. You can disagree all you want but it won't change my opinion.

Crazy how many kids like me grew up watching scump and the rest of the OG team and seeing this now just shows how close the team is. Scump and Nade and BigT literally helped me through the hardest times of my life and I’m eternally thankful that I was able to watch their journeys. Green wall for life💚

Coming back to this video after 2024 Champs absolutely hits on another level… “I’m falling down so you can rise” and those words stuck with Bruce, absolutely amazing to see the hard work and dedication that those guys have is top tier and to see the transformation of Bruce being the Veteran of OpTic is really amazing if that kitchen scene doesn’t make it into the Cod Champs process with a legendary edit it’ll be a shame 🤣

Started watching optic because of nadeshot in bo2, and when he left I stayed a optic fan. Forever a optic fan I was 12 back than and now I’m 23. Optic is a big part of my life it’s crazy to think about

This last part of the video is so significant especially after Major 3. Witnessing the boys go from losers round 1 to the grand finals was very important. Even though they didn’t get the end result they desired, this shows the power and the potential this team has. This team is very passionate and driven to succeed. And they never stop fighting.
