It is a flat out lie that Toby Keith wrote "How Do You Like Me Now" I, BOB WALLACE, wrote that song in 1978 and I ran in to Toby in a bar in Victorville California in 1993 and gave him the song that night. I played the song for him on his own guitar 1st while the band was taking a break and at Toby's request that I wait for them to play their next set so I could play it for him again because he really liked my song and wanted to do something with it. I wrote the lyrics on bar napkins and told Toby if he was successful with the song I woanted a new Dodge truck, he then said if he did something with it that he would definitely take care of me. I also told him that the song should have a kind of Doobie Brothers "Listen to the Music kind of shuffle which is where Chuck Cannon probably came in as he probably supplied the licks for the arrangement and Toby probably didn't even mention that I gave him the song.
