Behind the Brella: Inside the Mind of an Undercover Brella Player [Splatoon 3] 

One of the big advantages that the undercover brella has is the shield. No one ever talks about it but it can take a bit of punishment, but it's most important quality is that is can 'shield gate' damage. As in, any damage that is enough to break the canopy does not roll over to the player. You can tank bombs, rainmaker shots, rainmaker shield pops, hell even E-liter shots! It's one of the few weapons that can make you tankier. I always have such a grin on my face when an enemy throws a suction bomb on the tower I'm riding as if he's got me or something. Fuck you buddy! I tank that shit!

This weapon becomes in credible when you use ink mines constantly.

Great content as usual! Would love to see a series of guide videos for different modes, roles to play in different comps, etc. It's a very cerebral weapon to play with the way you have to mix up your strategies dependent on comp/map/context and I think it's the part beginning Undercover players struggle most with! I always like to tell folks not to think of it as a ninja assassin and more of a saboteur, tripping up the opponent and making everything they try to do have something go wrong with it.

This is actually super informative! I'm so used to just being pure aggro from my playtime with sploosh and wiper, but I think I'm gonna actually pick up Undercover for the sake of teaching myself to back up. That's a skill we all need, regardless of weapon, and in real life, too.

I'm not sute this is accurate, often times I am just screaming internally that I hit someone five times and they lived, or that a machine shot went through the center of my canopy.
