Just watched your hat series, very informative mate. Thank you. Just subbed. I live in New Zealand and am looking for a year round hat for hiking and bushcrafting in the bush, but also looks passable for the beach or walks around the neighbourhood. That means a hat that can not get caught up in our close bush (almost jungle) conditions; can also handle the diversity between our hot humid summers and cool wet winters. The Ozzie hats are looking good.
Just dropped $300 on a Stetson 6X and I can already tell it's going to be a 'fancy occasion only' lid... its nowhere near as comfortable as the crushable $80 Outback I got on sale for $25
I wear noting but Australian style outback hats...I just love that style of hats. In the Spring and Summer I try to use the mesh styles and in the fall and winter the wooly styles. I have no problem with American cowboy hats but I just like the Aussie form factor much more.
Your store is 1,220 miles from me in Northern Maine. GOSH I want to purchase hats from you ! If I am ever anywhere near you I will visit your store and do business with you !
I like your channel, you explain very well. I like the wool crusher olive green with the stampede strap, also the next one with a larger brim, also like a Palm 🌴 hat or straw skimmer for chores, riding horses, I collect hats , could you tell me where or how to find quality hats, by the way I always called the Gus crown a Mulekick , Merry Christmas
Great, informative video! I have a Pillabra hat by Akubra. It has a little taller crown and wider brim and is vented. With it being vented and the rabbit fur felt being lighter, I find it’s more comfortable longer in the year than some of the other felt hats. I like the style of the Akubra hats, they look like the hats I remember the old time pineywoods cowboys wore down in south Alabama and Georgia. Thanks again for sharing your videos!
Great hat I'm on my third pilbara, unfortunately I heard they are discontinued. I wore mine in hot and humid weather(took lining out)and saved me and my bald melon
I have an akobra, their crowns are too low. I tried to reshape it to make the crown higher, but there just wasn't enough to work with. They look spastic. I won't recommend akubra.
It was nice to see some Akubra styles in the same room with Western styles. Reinforces my preference for the Aussie profile. But what I am really in search for is an old SoCal Lifeguard. I can find the profile and wide brim, but the hidden secret of the "real" ones is the green liner on the underside of the brim. It reduces the eye strain from the glare of a bright sky. Anyone know what I am talking about?
Hello greetings I am writing to you from Peru Lima I would like to know if you have a page where I can see your products and prices I really liked the rain and cold jackets

I never would have thought of a light colored headband as being a better choice for a sweatband. My logic would have been, have a dark(er) color to hide sweat stains all the while never realizing the combination could dye stain the hat. Tis true: one learns something new every day! Thank you.
Hi ! Enjoyed the series. I keep coming back to this episode, as I like the Round Crown Acubra you show here - Please could you help me pin down the specific name /Style of the Acubra Round Crown you are holding?
