They should introduce a challenge system similar to cricket and tennis. Each team has 1 challenge per half, if they win the challenge they can use it again in the same half, but if they lose the challenge, they have to wait for the next half where they have 1 challenge again. Also, putting a sensor in the ball and under the area of the try line and sidelines would help in knowing whether the ball not only went on and over the line but also the amount of pressure that was put over it. Then a value should be placed and set as threshold of pressure that must be placed on the ball in order for there to be "pressure on the ball" when awarding a try.
This is a joke right. The referees give a soft penalty away to try n make a game of it every time. Guess what, golden point should be much rarer. They have a clear directive to make every game a nail biter because they want that for ratings but it's just so forced it's a form of corruption. Look at the stat's of drawn games in the past VS the number of golden point games these days. It doesn't make sense except when you consider the corrupt admin of the game desperate to fill nsw Wales grandstands instead of making it a truly national sport. It's still the NSW rugby league to my eye.
