I think it’s amazing that we are seeing a CHURCH do such amazing things and do them excellently for Jesus and not for the world. Not one Christian criticizes the world for doing things big but when a church does it they say look at all the money-making things they are doing. It’s just really doesn’t make sense and that’s why the church is easily persecuted. Keep it up Hillsong 😁🙌🏽 you’re setting the bar high like it should be for the King of kings! 👑
The question is: Are they doing this for the glory of God? Or for fun? The way they decorate the place, the lights, the stage, actually everything is exactly like a normal non-christian concert. God asks us to remain simple, he didnt ask for concerts like this. He just asked for our hearts to be truly his... Now, why do we have to complicate things? I think these people want to be like the world, but in the same time be with God. That can t happen.

I would give God the best i have to offer. But I will not copy what the world does. The world makes rock concerts? Some chrostians make too, because it s cool, right? Why not? the difference is we name it Christian rock. You think we can fool God? He knows our heart, our true intenions. We have to be different! This kind of concerts are not promoting an authentic relationship with GOD... You just have fun there, you dance, you sing, do whatever you want, but you forget the most important thing.. The real relationship with God
@@eunica.2805 no no no... no one is forgetting it, only people who look from the outside and judge and say those doing it are forgetting it... I've been in many of these kind of "concerts" you speak about and I've seen many people encounter God in an authentic way including myself. What's amazing is that those who didn't believe, believed and were saved in such concerts/productions. The devil wants to corrupt everything so it's easy for these things to be corrupted, but you can never judge the intentions of those hosting these events just by how it looks from the outside. I agree that we keep Jesus the main thing, and you are right, we don't need it to be so fancy but just because it is doesn't mean it's not authentic

Yes, you'd be correct, however, Hillsong never claims that the Hillsong Conference or Colour Conference are intended to be church-esque. The conferences with Hillsong are intended to be major events involving performing arts and high production value. This is not what Hillsong looks, sounds or feels like on an "every-Sunday" basis.
Volunteers, yet they charge an insane amount for their tickets so where is that money going? This is what’s wrong with Christian type gatherings. Secular gatherings actually pay their people money, it may not be much for everyone but they are getting paid. Christian gatherings like this just assume everything is free which is not biblical at all. Did Abraham expect anything free? Did Jacob? No they did not, they worked, earned, and paid their way....
The money goes back into the ministry. Also the gear they use is super expensive as well as renting out a huge venue and also running a TV station to broadcast all their content. There’s a lot that goes into doing what they do and that takes a lot of money. Their reach has been global though.

That’s why Christian venues will always fall short of secular venues. You treat people like they “need” to volunteer. You know what Christians did in the Bible? They paid for services, or land, or what ever they used. They didn’t expect people to show up and just “lend” a hand. The way you handle this business is not how a Christian is taught finances. It goes against everything Dave Ramsey teaches on financial peace university.
