It's always astounding how ugly people are at conventions like this. I don't mean this in a bodyshaming, malicious way. It's an ugliness originated from a live of ressentment, bitterness, cynicism and the sullen refusal to love and be loved. It is actually pitiful, but so destructive in its toxicity that pity is misplaced.

I am thoroughly excited to see Count Binface beat Truss at the next election. Given how deeply unpopular she is I honestly feel it might finally happen as a pure protest vote. Niko was able to give things a scare during the London election, if some big social media influencers get on board I can see it happening this time.

Owen well done interviewing some of those people and keeping your cool,I was shouting at my phone. Some of the answers were heartless.

When things get better it's always because of their policies, however when things turn bad, it's either the policies of the previous government, or the World situation, strange that isn't it?

Owen did a great job here. A broad mix of different Tory members is presented and they were given the chance to speak their minds when interviewed. Owen is never aggressive in his interview style and he gives individuals a decent opportunity to respond to his fair questions. The edit itself is beautifully put together. I'm curious whether all of the people interviewed in this video were made to give active consent for their inclusion in the final clip.

I'm amazed these Tories still actually think it's acceptable to say 'it's happening everywhere'. Kwasi Kwarteng literally announced he was axing the top tax rate and paying for it with unlimited borrowing and the economy crashed within 24 hours. I watched it happen. Kwasi Kwarteng isn't the Chancellor of sodding Germany or Singapore. He did it here!

I can't believe people have the absolute gall to say "what we really want is for people to work hard and be aspirational", but refuse to address what to do with low paid essential jobs - except to say they definitely shouldn't form a union to get better pay. They have no issue with low paid jobs existing. And they want people to work in those low paid jobs because there are SO MANY vacancies and people "should get off benefits and start working". And they're very happy to ignore the reality of what it's like for the poor sod who ends up at the bottom of the food chain, on a 0 hours contract. They just want YOU to have the gumption to pull YOURSELF up by your boot straps, and know that it's your own fault if you find yourself at the bottom. Sickening. It's bad enough when you hear that attitude broadly, but when it comes from the people who EXPLICITLY have the power to raise the minimum wage, even if it's ONLY in line with inflation. It honestly turns my stomach. I genuinely don't know how they sleep at night
