I wish more cinematographers did videos like this. This helps guys like me who want to do this for a career and knowing how different things function. I'm a guy from Kansas City MO who does stuff but it's all personal work and a couple of short films. I haven't gotten the opportunity to actually work on set and I'm usually doing it by myself with whoever I have in my house. One day I hope to find someone willing to hire me to do whatever. Would love a PA just to get to start working with people and making connections. But this stuff is awesome and your work has inspired me to keep pushing even if I only have my iphone to shoot something (which is my current situation).
As a newb to the game of cinematography and commercial work, these behind-the-scenes make it so much easier to see the breakdown of working with the vision of the talent and such. Cheers to this year and many more blessings in 2023!!
Dude…. Keep these vidz poppin… For me they are the most helpful and informative, b/c we can see the information being put to use in real time. Plus with your breakdown between each shot helps me more. I’m more of a visual learner 😊 Thanks brother 💪🏼💪🏼
This is great BTS. Not only for the value of showing how work unfolds on an actual set. But, this one in particular shows how best to work together with your crew and talent to make a project successfully come together and get finished. Many thanks. I could watch BTS like this all day, every day.

I think i said it before: I wish there would be a little bit more technical informations when it comes to lighting and camera settings. Like Exposure values (a glimpse of the false color screen maybe etc.) that would be awesome. Again, great BTS. So awesome to get this. If you can, and I know this is a big ask, I would love to see more in depth knwoledge on the different roles of each one. For example what a DP or Gaffer is doing. What gear he/she is handling/have, responsibilities, etc. Maybe make a series out of this. I appreciate your videos very much so far. Love them!!!

Hey, just wanted to let you know that I love your behind-the-scenes videos! No big interruptions by music, cuts and interviews - compared to other videos on RU-vid. Nice editing with the constant flow of visuals and information. Makes it much easier to get a feeling for being at your workplace. A small idea beside: Would it be possible to show the storyboards made for the production while you prepare your shots with your co-workers (like in 4:45)? Just to see what visuals you and the director(s) had in mind for the cinemaography. Would be really interesting. Would love to see more of your journey and work! 🙏
