9:01 the pool wasnt meant to be at the second house. If you noticed, both houses are exactly the same. They copied the house and then replaced the pool with a tennis court. The lower LOD version wasnt changed though, so thats why you see it that way when you zoom out a lot. You can also see a similar LOD glitch with the airport (flight control tower was removed, but the lower LOD version still remains)

Yep, the entire lot is copy pasted and flipped around. You can tell by the tree locations on each lot are identical

For the R* pool: they use the same LOD for the 2 houses (since they are almost identical), only one has a tennis court in the normal model, and one the pool. Its just R* being lazy by re-using LODs

The tennis court issue is probably a bug, or rather something the devs forgot to change. What I mean is the house is a copy paste of the Rockstar Pool one, as such they copied and pasted it in, changed the pool part of the model to the tennis court, but they forgot to change the low texture version that is loaded at a distance. As such, it will show the incorrect one when you pan out.

Very cool. I love this series already. What a throwback, these games finally getting modern recognition. Fun fact, you dont even need a camhack to see people in the background not moving in "The Party", although everyone probably knew that. I do wonder what tools you use for these videos though. I want to see one of these videos but for GTA 4 and 5 to see if they became more professional (not that they were'nt) and hid characters where it would make more sense or didnt hide them at all. Great vid, lots of stuff not even the best of fans knew.

9:00 No. It's a common rockstar-design theme to reuse exactly the same building/plot layout, and then only change a specific element of the design in the copy building. They've done this with a few of the GTA 5 mansions in Vinewood too. For that house at the timestamp, it just happened to be the pool that they changed into a tennis court in that case.

Pretty sure the second R* pool is just because it's the same house as the other. They probably just copy and pasted the whole section, then plopped a tennis court on top of where the pool was. The just never changed the low LOD texture to represent that.

What a great video, I just got done watching the GTA 3 episode along with this one and they’re both really good, the only feedback i have is that in some cutscenes like the opening cutscene the game audio at loud points like with the helicopter ends up being louder than your voice making you a bit hard to hear, but other than that the videos are both amazing, keep it up :)

man, i love these series, so here is a suggestion: put original cutscene and another angle side by side or one after another so we can see the difference, if you can understand me.

Yes that's cool, I do try to get a good balance of both the originals and different angled scenes (like Ricardo kicking the TV). One problem with doing one after the other with all the cutscene's is that it would make the video 2x or 3x longer, and can often lose the pace. I will try and bare in mind for future episodes putting them side by side though.

Unfortunately dude you can't reach the moon, no matter how many times i tried (much like GTA3) the game crashes as you reach the end of the sea, probably due to it not recognizing where the camera co-ordinates are or something. The only way you can go is straight up, which just makes the map disappear below you because of the draw distance.

11:47 considering that it could be seen by aiming a sniper rifle, and it's located behind the rifles, and actually looks like a shooting mark - this looks like rather engineered easter egg than bug/overlook

The megalodon is not present anywhere in Vice City, there is no giant shark in this game, there is a unused asset for a larger version of the shark but it's barely noticeable, the strongest theory behind this asset is that it was supposed to be a sandbar shark or brown shark, which are rare and that the player could only spot them once during a playthrough but it was never implemented!

8:53 Nah I think its pretty obvious that the entire plot of land is just mirrored across the street seeing how the house is exactly the same and the pool is in the exact same location with respect to the house. They just replaced the Rockstar pool with the tennis court so that it wasn’t used twice. Even the smaller house and pool directly next to the Rockstar pool is mirrored across the street.

No dude, i think you are right. He is Lance Vance, I called him Quinton by accident because when i got to filming this part i had to watch that scene about a hundred times and it was stuck in my head. The reason Diaz calls him Quinton (my guess) is because Lance lies to him about his name. Hope this puts your life back on track xD

yourface His name is Lance Vance. But he uses Quentin as an undercover name because he was trying to infiltrate Diaz's organization in order to find out if Diaz was the one who setup the deal which led to Vic Vance's death. This is why Diaz later had Lance Vance kidnapped. This is 1 of the reasons I really disliked both VC Stories and LC Stories. Both games were rushed and had opened up plotholes regarding how they connected with Vice City and GTAIII. In this case, Vic and Lance associated with Diaz in VC Stories yet apparently Diaz hadn't associated with Lance prior to Vice City. I personally consider both VC Stories and LC Stories as non-canon to the original GTAIII era timeline, but are rather spin-offs. Anyways, in short, Lance Vance is his real name. Quentin is his undercover name.

Another awesome video, absolutely blown away right from the start, like I had no idea that the 'Liberty City' cutscene part of the intro takes place entirely hidden within the Oceanview Hotel :o though it's a shame that secret room/location is hidden from there after the cutscene, given that jump glitch you showed off in order to actually climb on top and run around above the rooms, again had absolutely no idea that was even possible D: it's pretty odd seeing how things generally happen off-camera during cutscenes too, though I could see how why they would do it that way, so that when the player/camera isn't seeing things happening, then nothing literally happens at all! xD Great work here again, another excellent showcase of hidden secrets indeed!

It may be dated, it may play a little archaic compared to it's modern day variants or even the following game, but god damn if it isn't my favorite for the soundtrack and setting. Long live Vice City.

Couldn't have said it better man, the soundtrack was awesome! Its a shame i couldn't use more of it in the video tbh but i would have had copyright strikes flooding out of my computer when i logged in to youtube ha ha.
