Just imagine working in that warehouse and a badly charred costume starts crawling towards you and you hear another one of the exact same costumes screaming the lyrics of It’s Been So Long by The Living Tombstone. I’d sacrifice myself on accident
they were cgi in the in the courtyard fight against the smith clones, especially neo. Just hard to spot. But especially neo in some extreme moves like the spin with the iron bar or the slowmotion kick before that scene that's where you could see pretty well they used cgi and probably not just for neo. Neo really looked like a animated video game character there with smoother skin and clothes etc. pretty obvious.
Though I'm not the biggest fan of CGI, it still takes a lot of work/time for the artists. I've sat in a few sessions just to see how it's done and it's not easy.
Mate, respect level x100 for the amount of hours and work dedicated into this, we watch it for 2.5 hours and complain about all the mistakes, goofs and poor ending, these guys endure countless hours, hundreds of people in departments working together just to bring together a scene. Hats off to you all...
I still think Hugo Weaving was a great casting decision. He just has a natural scowl and menacing eyebrows, sorta like Jack Nicholson. He also was required to do a lot of his stunts, which is practically unheard of in massive action movies like these.
I just love the whole Matrix team's dedication on how they worked on both the traditional and digital craft. And also Hugo's professionalism. They really did a lot of effort to make this film forever a masterpiece.
And here I was thinking they simply hired a handful of people that looked similar to him and then did camera magic to duplicate him on screen. Holy hell being buried alive in plaster mold is some dedication to the craft. Well done Hugo
This gives me a whole new appreciation for movies like The Matrix trilogy. We go to the movies and see the finished product not realizing all the hard work that went into making them.
OMG, the amount of efforts, time and money they spent to make those great movies is un imaginable. Can't even comprehend the efforts Hugo had to sit still for longer hours just to make his face molds, that's beyond me. Respect for all of them, cast, directors, producers, and anyone participated in those great movies.
Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the [REDACTED], infected, cloned, converted, assimilated, Hugo Weavings
This is a lot of dedication just to make the scene actually look good, you don't tend to see this much dedication in movies nowadays, it's why The Matrix is one of my favourite movies of all time
Sure the many Smiths are amazing, but the real story is the rain rig that caused a completely controllable indoor deluge take after take after take. I'm pretty sure thats an untold story of secret special effects work.
Its essentialy a big fire suppression rig suspended by a crane. They use them all the time for rainy scenes, nature isnt very cooperative so they make em pretty big for outdoor scenes.
Still a legendary movie after all these 20 years. Never gets boring and makes you think hard about the future, life and death, phylosophy, AI and technologies
Smith in my opinion is the real ONE the ONE who was born inside the matrix and raise by it. He called the Oracle "mom". He is the software who really revolutionize he sistem. We really miss you Hugo.
I actually thought Hugo Weaving filmed a lot of scenes and then those scenes got composed in one scene. But pretty sure Hugo's face got pasted in most scenes, because in the final films you can see them doing expressions.
@@stormteam3004 I'm an educated person. I'm smart enough to be able to read the hundreds of medical reports on vaccines to know they are real. What evidence of conspiracy do you have?
@@Don-pk2uy Can you tell me how bad is it? I haven't watched it though. I'm just curious because they're hyping the movie up like it's going to be the best movie of the year but then everyone hates it.
@@alesongjay3577 it’s not bad, people just became a hive mind on the internet. Most don’t even know where they got the idea to not like the movie. It’s just a change in time, the viewers now see how these things are made so they all became writers and they all had their way they wanted the story to turn out. Take Spider-Man for instance, if you saw the comments about it before it came out you’d see they all said it was going to fail and their main reason was….it wasn’t going to have the other two spidermen. It became a hit after people got what they wanted to see and they could care less that the rest of the movie didn’t make any sense. Trust me when I say most regular folks are sheeps being manipulated, they don’t have original thought so find out on your own
@@alesongjay3577 Basically, the Neo's sacrifice in Revolutions was useless. No Oracle, no Architect, Smith chooses to be a playboy instead of the counterpart of Neo, Morpheus was Smith in the beginning of the Movie, Zion is dead, Niobe commands a new human city called Io. And now part of the machines works alongside these humans in Io. Merovingian is a homeless and Neo shoot Ki Blasts and use a Ki Shield now. Sati (the indian girl in the metro station who appears in Revolutions) saves the day, because Neo is a completely shmuck in the entire movie.
This is the greatest art work I have ever seen on a movie... Shame on CGI!!!! This is a true art.. How many Oscar did this movie won? It is well ahead of time.. Best Sci fiction movie of all time, to me!!!
Man that must be so uncomfortable. Hugo has some nerves. Claustrophobia from the cast as well as the psychological mindf•uck of seeing yourself 100 times!
