Not gonna lie I just got a package from DHL and was able to follow it the whole time I got notifications I was able to follow the truck on GPS n know when my package will arrive it was my first time using them I have no problem using them again
How did you manage to do that, I’ve been having so many issues with my package. It said it left hong kong 3 days ago and I haven’t been getting updates but I’m getting notifications from the app I purchased the products from
DHL acquiring Airborne Express 20 years ago has helped improved delivery service in the United States. I used to order online where online retailers shipped with Airborne Express before the acquisition, but the problems I had were delayed deliveries in my hometown San Francisco, CA. Ever since the name Airborne Express became DHL, I have never had any issues with both international and domestic deliveries, but the domestic service coming to an end on the DHL side of Airborne Express hit the company a lot harder with the ground service.
It's funny because it's true. They got my package to the correct delivery area from another country in a decent amount of time. Then proceeded to send it to another state a thousand miles away. Now it's back at a central location where it's been processed several times...
It's not smoothly and definitely NOT "on time". Stop neglecting your job, DHL! Stop stealing and loosing packages, and most of all, stop lying to your customers!
That time I ordered my son a Ceremonial Dress Sword from Sheffield in England, waiting 7 months for its building and coming home finding it was thrown over our 6 foot fence, shattering its presentation box. Thanks DHL, good times…
Use to work for hell. Shit show. They will literally deliver to the smallest house in the smallest town in the world, but if you just want something delivered to the suburbs in a metro area… good luck.
Service is the worst I have ever encountered. My package is stuck in Rochester an hour and a half from where I live. They say one digit on my zip code was wrong. I went on their website and fixed it. I did not ship the item it came from Nepal. All day long I get messages to fix the address but I did. Hours trying to get someone on the phone with no luck. If you text you get AI that can’t help with anything. Most of their websites don’t work on my phone. Just get random words and letters that make no sense. I know my package is in Rochester but I’m afraid it will be stolen by these people. I couldn’t even join DHL express web website, I just get error messages. This company needs to be investigated for mail fraud and possible theft of packages. They get nothing but bad one star reviews of the Rochester location and a F rating from the BBB. Will they respond to this, well they haven’t responded all day except for messages that say they can’t deliver my package TO THE PROPER ADDRESS. If the package does get lost they don’t care. They will tell you to contact the seller. Fkn ridiculous, they don’t even take responsibility for their incompetence, or is it just theft.
I orderd a package with dhl from eastern us to the west coast of canada. the package has been sitting dormant in Milita, Manitoba for the last week. How this happend, I don't know.
happen to me last week and I paid for expedited. shit turned out to be 8 days to be delivered cuz of DHL then it went up north 2 states instead of down south 2 states smdh
DHL delivery driver stole my package. Got an SMS that I could waive the signature so I don't have to sign for the package, 10 minutes later it was marked as delivered but nothing was delivered as I was at home. Called the support center and they argued with me that it was delivered. Will never use them!
Serious question here: "What is their backup plan when power is out for a prolonged time?", can they keep going? And not just DHL but also FedEx, UPS, etc. I always wondered and, hopefully, it won't come to a complete standstill because I think of perishable items.
these facilities have plans to be out of grid power for days to weeks using diesel generators with plans to refill onsite fuel storage tanks. They even test these plans regularly.
I work for DHL Express at Sacramento, CA. I have been to the hub in Covington, KY. If our delivery station lost power for multiple days, it would seriously impact operations, but we would likely keep priority customer packages moving and as much other freight as possible, on unverified tags and paper manifests. We would have to manually sort packages and ship purely off of the information on the paper labels. If it was longer than one whole day we would probably have to figure out how to power our label printers and network computers, so we can provide scanning and new labeling where necessary. Provided our trucks can still ship the sorted freight to the gateways and load them onto planes, also still working, I'd assume the gateways and hubs (the core facilities of our global shipping network) have contingents in place to deal with natural disaster or power shortages/outages, and have on-site backup generators or some limited power method of maintaining the auto-sorting. In general, if something happened to the internet/power, our network's efficiency and service would be significantly impacted, but we would still be able to operate at a limited level even if it persisted for as long as a few days to a week. Although- such problems would assumedly also impact our customers equally, reducing our daily volume. Dry Ice shipments and other perishable shipments are usually given significant priority, so these would likely be given special treatment in such a event.
why do people think DHL is a parcel delivery company ? that part of the business is only what people see , the vast part of the company is logistics , not parcel delivery
They were awful!! I had to fight for almost a year to get my delivery refund from them as they charged me twice. I finally threatened to tell PayPal and magically I got refunded immediately.
Same here. I had to try and contact them a number of times. But they were hopeless. A month later they'll contact me to say "oh sorry we're not sure what happened but we can't find your parcel" "sorry about that".
I sent a package and was never delivered. To this day I only have 3 notifications telling me that they are still looking for it and was told to wait 30 days this is day 9 and havent got any notification after day 4 of my waiting period.
Probably not one of the best package services to be doing a documentary on lol. They are fairly well known to be extremely poor delivery service. Half the time losing your packages, and the other half the time showing up damaged. 🤣🤦♂️
Fastest worldwide? I waited 6 months and had to keep contacting them only for them to finally tell me "oh yeah sorry but we're not sure where your parcel is it went missing in transit". Absolute idiots!!
DHL warehouses are very good, they uses technology for parcels & delivery of goods, there management also good, this video is good , DHL Cargo Planes are fantastic transportation have make, good engineering , from Uvesh Saiyad
I paid for 2 days express delivery from Africa to USA could anyone believe me that my document that I supposed to submitted on the 8th of March as deadline was still in another state in USA till 7th of March.
In 2009 DHL dropped domestic parcel services and focused on its international network. It has grown back significantly and since the beginning of the COVID crisis has had rising revenue every quarter. DHL does allow for domestic shipping today but it's hardly worth it for just any person as our rates are extremely expensive... but DHL's (at least, DHL Express) focus right now is to provide reliable, fast service for our business customers first, and reliable international service.
"Logistics of the Future"? DHL was handed a 2.7 ounce package in High Point, NC to deliver to me in NY. It took 11 days to get to NY, only to hand it off to their "last mile" carrier, the US Postal Service, who delivered it the next day. It would have been cheaper and way faster to simply mail it! DHL also managed to lose a prescription bottle between their own distribution centers for weeks. UPS and USPS for me; sorry, DHL, but that's my experience.
Ok this more of an infomercial. .UPS FedEx and DHL are on the revenue side about equal... the problem is DHL has established back door deals that prevent competition in the eurasian continent and Africa.. as far as efficiency UPS and FEDEX are more robust in thier tracking and service commitment.. anyone shipping DHL outside for thier established network . Get insurance.. and have back up info like video and tracking screen shots
DHL will not deliver my package accusing me of not being home to receive it. So they tell me I have to come get it at a location 70 miles away or it will be shipped back to the sender. I'm glad they aren't in charge of delivering my mothers diabetic medication.
Unhappy people are most likely to leave a complaint. DHL is the biggest, with the most customers, thus also get the most reviews. And who bothers to leave a good review when their parcel arrives as expected, i don't.
Their cargo price is sucks, and it sucks to know that our government post office is using their services for the government don't have their own armada. It sucks to know that the post office get more than 50% discount from dhl, while we the customer have to pay full charge 100%
Just what to expect from delivery service company's. Unpack shipping containers, then fill online orders packed in inefficient cardboard boxes made from a dewilding tree resources. Then protect the the order in plastic bubble wrap maid from oil, which we now have to import!! What a great idea.
The last mile cannot easily be automated, people will just move to jobs that pay less and are harder. I would hope they move that money over and increase wages but...
the automation of warehouses is necessary. At the moment there are shortages of warehouse workers everywhere and even migrant workers can no longer fill the work within logistics.
It's not just turbulous times people want quick gratification they want things done now they want to pick up things now everything's about now now no patience quick gratification is the answer that's what they want..
Listen dick. When your parcel has been sitting at the nearest depot which is 20km away for the last 6 months and you have to keep contacting them to see where it is and after about 12 months they finally admit to you that they don't know what happened to it, that's not impatience and wanting quick gratification, that's wanting them to do their fucking job! If they can't do that, they have no right to call themselves a courier company.
DHL logistics of the future?? You've got to be joking, right? These idiots have lost a few of my parcels over the years and I have had to try and contact them which is NOT easy. I would never trust them again. Useless incompetent company.
Staff members of Spark: This bad attempt of an advertorial pretending to be a documentary which seems to be originated from the mid 90's, just costed you my trust and my subscription forever. Do you think your viewer base are boomers? WE KNOW DHL. And this is not in the slightest the light in which they deserve to be portrayed nor reported on.
I had a manager been with DHL for over 20 years joined my IT team as a manager. Within a year, the whole team vanished and the client cancelled our project. The worst manager I'd ever had.
Bunch of scammers. Stop sending me e mails saying I have a package. Then you want me to pay for that package. 1. I never ordered anything. 2 Why should I pay for a package and give you my debt card info to something I am not expecting? Scammers.
I've been in logistics my whole career and I refuse to use DHL. Incompetent, difficult to use and not user friendly for International. Gimme a break lol
At least for where I live, it isn't worth it. It is expensive but to ship something to here you'll pretty much have to pay for double the shipping price. It works kinda like this, first you pay for the international shipping and then a few days later they'll send you an email asking for almost the same amount of money once again. I'm not sure but I feel like that "second shipping fee" was more expensive than the first one. It was fast but wasn't worth it.
I am Courier Agent from Sialkot pakistan we have all account DHL, UPS, FedEx, DPD but from 2019 COVID-19 situation DHL doing flop service we loss so much business from our customers only reason DHL flop service and bad company now we use UPS service from SIALKOT to all over the world best service best rates 4 days delivery time doing great
We started to use DHL in the US about 10 years ago. After a couple months our customers demanded that we use UPS, FedEx, or the USPS as boxes were often damaged and there were always a lot of delays.
Ya, I used to get my FedEx parcels from RockAuto, into west coast Canada in less than a week, my recent order is more costly, and has been sitting in Michigan for 2 weeks, and they estimate close to 2 more weeks. I get stuff from China in 2 weeks. Too Bad, No More RockAuto.😮
