i'd just like you to know that i sat my parents down on the couch to watch the little poet on our tv, and i had never seen them more focused and attentive watching something (they are the type to always fall asleep 20 minutes into a film) they were just in complete awe, totally silent throughout the whole thing and then as soon as the credits ended they were just making incomprehensible sounds, unable to form proper sentences, and we rewatched it two more times. absolutely amazing work
Oh God! this is so beautiful and amazing. I'm blown away with the colors and storytelling in your cartoons. It's so good, it inspired me. After watching it, I drew my pictures really well
AWESOME! It's always so cool to see what's going on in the mind of an artist when they do their respective crafts. What you have created was a genuine masterpiece and a huge compliment to the world of illustration and animation!
Greetings from Indonesia, your animation was stunning, I've watched it over and over but still amazed. The protagonist is really cute, the colors and the textures blend well, the reference from famous paintings make the scenes unique, and that duck is cherry on top. I felt lucky to discover your masterpiece.
Watching your short film took me back to my childhood. It was like my first time watching cinderella. It felt so magical and comforting, I missed feeling that way so much. Sincerely, thank you for bringing that feeling back to me.
I started with the rough script and had like probably 5 versions of them, and I only added rhymes in the last 2 versions (thought it would make it cuter). Then I asked my friends for editing help! Especially with rhymes and grammar, I actually don't know much about poetry so it took me a while to search for verses and rhyming words. Sorry there isn't really anything interesting lol it's really just a lot of thinking and repetitive editing 🧐
I'm so suprised at how early I am ! This film is genuinely beautiful, your use of colours and textures are so unique and your character designs are gorgeous

Oh, please, you must be in every art festival possible! Do the students at Calarts have means to get this kind of precious work to everyone so that people can enjoy this candid art? We need this kind of art so badly! (And a series about this character I think) Like what the college does with their best works or students? I hope they do support their artists! However I know most colleges are just more about making money out your tuition. I saw the making process and it was very complex and you had many people giving you ideas without whom this master piece would had not been possible. As an artist myself at heart I used to put on acting dramas at school and the best works I ever wrote were the ones in which my other classmates cooperated with a ton of ideas. I am best shaping the ideas of others than my own. My creativity dies pretty quickly and I love to receive input from everyone and make something like this at the end!

I was reading that Johanna Spiry wrote several books and 48 short stories before her death. What about to make an animation film based on her books? I have only read Heidi. I cannot believe there was a lot more. Why aren't books printed anymore? It must be very interesting to see the other projects she had. She was a very beautiful soul. The Alps have something very spiritual about them.
