What a nice guy Barry is. I like the way he tells a story about someone without putting them down. He is the type of guy who is nice to know; very down to earth.
I'm 70 years old and grew up with My Three Sons. It was more than a TV show, it was a pattern for how to be an upstanding human being. Thank you to Barry and everyone involved with the show!
Hello! I saw Barry Livingston in the Los Angeles premiere of a play called"Creeps." It had to be late 1980s I believe. He stole the show in this little black box theater on Melrose. He was masterful in a very difficult role, it seemed. I always felt something from this actor. Happy to see him looking and doing fine. Thanks for the memories!
Always loved Barry Livingston on My Three Sons and always felt not enough story lines were centered on his adorable character. What an eclectic career and wonderful life. Much love to Barry. ❤️
I hope that director who didn’t like Barry’s glasses came to realize how he missed a golden opportunity. Those glasses gave little Barry a uniqueness not to be found in any other child actor. They were the perfect accent to a very talented little boy. And once word got around as to why he had to wear the glasses, they endeared him to many fans who either wore glasses or knew someone they loved who did. Thanks, Barry, for showing the world that having imperfections is perfecting. 👏👏👏
Barry is a very good actor with great timing which is important. I loved him on My Three Sons. He fit in perfectly and added so much. I know the rest of the cast were blessed to have him.
Barry is very open and articulate about his experiences. Saw an earlier interview with Stanley who is equally well spoken. Nice how unaffected and well-adjusted these brothers are.
Good interviews. I like seeing older TV/movie celebrity interviews and hearing stories about their interactions with legendary stars. And thank you for the timecodes (chapter search)! There are a number of child actors from the 1940s/50s I’d love to see.
What a lovely and interesting guy Barry is. I don't know any interviewer other than Craig who can achieve the depth he does. It's like he was there with them.
I just discovered these Celebrity Drop interviews with Craig Bennett, and I have got to say it is so refreshing and so wonderful to see an interviewer who really knows his stuff. This guy comes to each one of these interviews so unbelievably prepared with a list of intriguing, interesting and respectfully probing questions and just fires them one after the other after the other after the other. I'm always annoyed when I see interviews with celebrities where the interviewer is ill prepared, asks the most inane questions and it's just a total waste of everyone's time. You see this particularly today with the I forget what they're called but the interviews for a movie that's just coming out and it's like somebody actually hired you? My God! Anyway, I just had to say kudos to Craig Bennett for m conducting the absolutely best interviews!
Very interesting interview. Yes, he'll always be Ernie but he has a vast & varied career as an actor. He should be proud of his accomplishments on screen & off married to the same woman for 40 years. Very down to earth & open about his life. A family trait as Stan was the same way during his interview as well.
As always from Craig Bennett and Celebrity Drop, this is a tremendously good interview. Thanks for chasing the TV and movie greats so many of us love. Happy Holidays, and to Barry Livingston. Have been a long time fan
Barry has had quite a great career. One thing I always wondered is if he auditioned for American Graffiti. He bears a bit of a resemblance to Charles Martin Smith and they're the same age. I wouldn't be surprised if Barry had auditioned for the Toad role.
Thanks ‼️☺️We just had movie night. Then I put my iPad on and RU-vid. And you guys popped up. I saw the Stanley interview too. What a pleasure to watch this☺️🤘🏼💕
Beau Bridges actually was a friend of Mike's on My Three Sons, he was in the first episode about Mike wanting to be on the school newspaper and also in that episode was the actress who played Miss Beadle on Little House On The Prairie, he was also in one other episode called Brotherly Love, he was Mike's friend, not Robbie's
I didn't get to see My Three Sons until it moved to CBS since we didn't have an ABC channel in my area until quite a few years later. So, Ernie was always the youngest son to me! I SO wanted to be in that family, my wonderful father died right after I turned 8 and I had a horrible childhood after that. I so wanted to have my wonderful father back and watching the character Steve Douglas as a father was great. I'm happy that in the last 10 years, I've been able to see most of the black and white and rewatch most of the color episodes of My Three Sons. I loved the interview with Stanley and was so happy when the interview with Barry popped up yesterday! Loved hearing how Barry has been doing. Take care Barry!
Awesome Barry love seeing you on different shows it is like where's Waldo.....Hey Barry's on Bosch or in the social network or on GH.....I love that. Happy for your success Barry and tell Stan we said hello also.
Oh my, I wondered when you'd interview Barry. What a joyous interview. Top notch, as always.Craig's style is always on point - informed, gracious and he brings the best out of everybody. Tina Cole would be great. My Three Sons was such great viewing. Any chance of a Barabra Eden interview?
Hi Joanne. Glad you enjoyed our interview with Barry. We have spoken with Barbara's people but, so far, haven't been able to lock her in. But we will keep trying. Thank you again for your support. Kelley
I wonder if Barry remembers visiting Cedar Rapids Iowa in the early 1960's? It was a long time ago and a very cold that day. Our ACCORDION band played a few tunes before they came on the OUTDOOR stage. Brrrrrrr!
I've been following Judy Norton's channel and she's just the same. Very down to earth. Very charming and very, very humble. People have such a warped view of Hollywood (as did I at one time). These are just people who are trying to make a living in a very tough environment. The 'stars' are one in a billion. The rest are just everyday people.
Barry!!!!!!! You and Stanley made my childhood!!!!!!!! Dude you as a kid were a Killer actor. It has been fun over the years seeing you on many shows and I always say HEY THAT's Barry and now just an Ole(not old) PRO!!!!!!!!!
I've followed Barry on Facebook for years, the Barry you see here, is Barry. Barry bought a new car a few years ago (a very good car, but a car your average person buys, Barry showed the car and was very pleased with it) I met Barry at an autograph show at his My Three Sons TV Mom's hotel (Beverly Garland) in the 90's, Barry and everyone there was VERY nice. The shows were nice back then, $10. to get in and photos were $5.-$10 each. It's changed a lot now, prices for a signed photo are $30 or more. What you see here, is Barry.
@celebritydrop Tina's experience with Fred McMurray and William Demerest will be if interest. You not only ask great questions but you guided the conversation just with a light touch. Very well done 👏
Barry ,I think I know why Fred didn't offer to help you with guitar. Remember ,he wanted to do his lines and get out.He was probably afraid it would become a distraction. Nothing personal. Hope this helps
