Behind the Scenes - The French Family Band Grand Ole Opry Debut 29th March 2023. 

There's nothing phony or pretentious about the French family. They represent all that's good and pure in this traditional art form. This is country music at it's finest.

Stuie, Camille, and Sonny, the standing ovation you received at your Opry debut was not a courtesy gesture. It was earned and deserved! 👍

Now those are future Grand Ole Opry members right there. Hashtag to Camille French's acoustic 🎸 is astounding, same one that Bonnie Raitt plays too.

Stuie, your dad was with you on stage, gleaming with his proud pride listening and watching the same way you do, when you watch Sonny, when you all play and sing together. I did see the videos a few weeks ago with the performances, but I was unable to comment at the time. It was really amazing, and very warming to my heart! Such beautiful and smooth singing and sounds. Each family member has a wonderful unique personality. It's almost a private amazing privilege to watch Sonny grow up and go thru his personal stages of teen years so publicly, big respect for him and seems just the kind of guy you would want as your own friend. As they get more and more famous they will all become totally unapproachable but they are a truly great example of stickability and perseverance in their journey. You can't help but root for one of "the good guys" :) "Dad" doesn't get enough credit for his crazy serious skills. Seems uncelebrated but very real. Sonny is well, Sonny and a joy to see cause he has these cool quirky things he does, and "mom" has one of the smoothest silkiest voices on the planet. Kudos to all of them for being humble enough to stay together and not want to break away and go solo. You can't help but just love each of them. This experience was a great reward for not only them, but for us too as we can celebrate the joy of a pretty big milestone in their journey and feel genuinely happy for them 👍👍👍

I watched the vid the moment it was released on RU-vid and I tell you I was so, so happy for all of you. What a major goal you have reached. You all are so deserving. Way back when I was a kid I remember watching the Grand Ole Opry on TV and the one that came to my mind and Im not sure why was the famous comedic Minnie Peral. That would have been something cool had you all been able to experience her antics. The song 1945, wow !! That brought tears of happiness to my eyes. Congratulations French Family. I truly hope all your dreams will come true.

A sound check on stage - professional. The only way to balance the mics and guitar amplification. The Opry’s a professional venue-they want each person and band to sound best. Great story and the and tune about Granddad.

Well that's a very cool behind the scenes look at your performance there. Sure do like that version of snowbird, sometimes I think Camille may have been ann Murray's vocal coach back in the day 😉 Have been meaning to say, wouldn't it be cool someday to see a French family variety hour TV show featuring various artists as guests. I've been listening to country music for decades. It's very refreshing to hear 'country' music instead of the Justin Beiber pop music coming out of Nashville lately. I'm a fan of traditional music from many different countries as there is a heart an soul that touches you when it's played. I'm hoping to hear more of you. My first introduction was a RU-vid video of Sandman. Phenomenal guitar playing and what tone. Wow.
