I got to appear as Kermit the Frog at the Newport Folk Festival in 2019, and it was one of the most amazing live appearances that I have done so far in my career. Here’s my memory of the event, featuring behind-the-scenes photos and video. An amazing time with the likes of Jim James, Chris Funk, Janet Weiss, Belmont Tench, John Stirratt, Chris Pandolfi, being entertained by incredible acts like Maggie Rogers, Dawes, Jason Isbell, and Dolly Parton, and so many more! Thanks, Jay and NFF for a special weekend.

We go to NFF every year, but 2019 was the first year we brought one of our kids. He was only 5months old, but everything about that weekend and THIS set specifically were incredible. Could not have asked for a better performance than yours for his first time going. We've brought him back every year, and now his younger sister as well for that. "Be Present. Be Kind. Be Open. Be Together"

Now that was cool ,I'm 63 year's old ,and two year's ago ad a knee surgery ,the DR ask what song I would like to Hear ,when I get in the operation ,well it was Rainbow connection .............Great Job Matt .thanks

Matt, this is amazing! Seeing you and Pete perform is awesome, true masters of your craft! The song performance gave me so much joy, and it’s easily fitting into one of my favorite performances by Kermit! I can’t say this enough, but thank you thank you for sharing!

Fantastic video Matt. It’s really interesting to watch the performers sing as their characters without the puppets. Could you talk a little bit about the Hollywood Bowl/O2 shows next time, they must’ve been amazing!

your kermit sometimes sounds like the Jim's kermit and sometimes sound like Constantine, It is only to reduce these small "constantine moments" and they sound like Jim's kermit

I think the voice is wrong for Kermit but in all fairness to Matt he didn't have the opportunity to be mentored by either Jim Henson or Steve Whitmire.

EVERYBODY thinks they have a better Kermit voice. Just like EVERYBODY thinks they can be a stand-up comic. Just like EVERYBODY thinks they can sing. Until they actually have to do it. And are met with actual critique. When Steve took over Kermit, there was no end of wailing and gnashing of teeth over how bad his Kermit voice was. Then 29+ years later he got fired and suddenly there was wailing and gnashing of teeth over his replacement. Change is the only constant. Deal.
