Since he has already proven himself to be a great filmmaker, companies will actually contact him and fly him out to places to shoot videos for them that they fund. When he first started he would make videos for companies for free as long as they covered his expenses. It's a win-win for them. His passion projects like the Halo and Zelda videos he uses his own savings, though unfortunately those tend to be his least seen videos. He has a video on his BTS channel explaining how to make money off RU-vid.

Leung Michael No problem! By the way making videos for free is a great way for people to want to work with you. I made just one of the California Academy of Sciences that is posted on my channel and the marketing department of the Academy reposted it on all their social media sites. I'd say it's definitely a good way to get started. :)

That is Collapsible Photo Reflector, it is normally used to reflect light from outside the frame to help soften shadows but it can used for a number of things in reality, like blocking rain in this case haha.

It looks like a big "pocket frisbee". But instead it has shiney material for normally reflecting light toward the scene. They are using it for preventing the rain from hitting the lens when he's pointing upward.

When we film almost everyday with the Glidecam and Red, your body gets used to holding the camera. So now it doesn't bother me at all.
