[2/2] It doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Now, you can see too well the structures the lights are mounted on so it doesn't look like they are floating in the dark anymore. It seems to me like it's because the lights were much more bright back then, or simply mounted differently in a way that they wouldn't light up the structure. It also kind of seem in the old video from 1991 I saw that the structures were painted in black. What would you say?
The first and only time I went to Disney World was in 1991. I watched a video of the more recent version of the parade and it didn't seem as impressive as what I remembered. So I compared videos of the old versus new version of the parade and it kind of sticks out. In the old version, the floats looked like strands of lights floating in the dark. You could barely see the structures they were mounted on. That was probably what was intended and what made it look so magic back then. [1/2]
Oh my... I just watched this video... v=qrJM98pHAmk It seems like all my assumptions were right! Please tell them to take the reflectors off and return the structures to black! That's what made it look magical!
