While the camera is superb but Larry's photography is on another level. Those images are pure art! The best video on the R3 yet and the music is good too. Great job whoever edited this.
Awesome video and stills. Top-notch in every way, (images, video, editing, subjects...) make for a great BTS. The camera looks amazing... can't wait to get my hands on one.
This is the ONLY R3 I was waiting for! No one else knows HOW to get the most out of Canon’s BIG BOY bodies! Ladies and gentlemen…the Man, the myth…THE LEGEND!!!
Photography wise, what does the R3 offer that the R5 doesn't already do? Keep in mind that the 1DXMK3 is the pinnacle for sports photography, and the R5 beats that
@@RandomActsOfWil One word: Durability! That’s pretty much why I went with a 1DX3 and not a R5 when I made the switch! IF I wasn’t out here in the dirt/mud/rain/snow chasing my DEATH for a photo, I would have snapped up the R5! The R3 IS a baby 1DX3 without a blasted mirror! The 2different card slots DO bother me but I get it…Canon’s Cripple Hammer strikes again 😩
@@RandomActsOfWil Now why would I tell you that?! I am not seeking nor needing any validation from you! Not everyone is out here chasing clout and clicks 💁🏾♂️
Great video! Gave me so many ideas for the Orlando Formula Drift event next week: my first test using the R3 for motor sports. Sure wish I had two of them hanging from my shoulders 🏁
Nice photos, the R3 is amazing. Couple of questions for you. Notice you have your lens all taped up "Why". Second, can you share how you captured moving object and stay in focus but back ground is blurry. Thanks
Hi! While there may be a variety of reasons why a photographer would tape up their gear, we can certainly answer your other question. You can achieve motion blur in the background by following your subject's movement. If you're photographing a passing car, you would follow the car with your camera, and if you're using a slow enough shutter speed, you'll catch a clear view of the car while everything else in the image is blurred from the camera movement. This technique is called "panning" and it requires a bit of practice, but it's not too hard to get the hang of it. Hope this helps!
Add another $2K - $K for one nice lens on top of $6K for a body. Everyone is waiting for Canon to allow other lens makers to make high-quality RF glass for a fraction of the cost (Tamron, etc.)
Comparing it to R5, how does it stand? If 1DXMK3 did the job amazingly before, the R5 beats that and gives you 45MP, is the R3 worth that extra $1500USD? Eye-Control is a nice feature, but losing that 45MP and only getting 24.1MP is a hard trade. What else does the R3 offer for that extra $1500? Let's keep this in the photography side, not the video side since this is a photo camera
I think the Canon EOS R3 has 3 main advantages. 1. AF (for wildlife photography and action sports). 2. Less data going trough the system (advantage of 24 MP) (at 30 FPS photography that can geht important). 3. Better low light performance (I guess you can push the ISO further than on the Canon EOS R5). => I think, if these 3 adavantages are imortant for you, the camera is worth it. But how that are probalbly only the pro‘s in wildlife photography and action photography. Anyway awesome camera. If the Canon EOS R1 (X) will be what I think. That‘s the way to go! EOS R1 (X) = R5 + R3 .
Super nice camera! Kind of doesn't tell me a thing about it though in this video! 😅 It mentions vehicle tracking and one scenario where it switches to helmet tracking, shows a ton of awesome images, but hardly useful information besides. "oh pretty!!" 🤷♂️
Love my R3 can't buy batreries for it though so have to sell it for a Sony as i can't use it for seriois gigs? Get your act together, you make new cameras (r7,r10) but dont manufactur batteries for your high end mirrorless!
Hi! If you're trying to get a hold of an extra battery for your EOS R3, our sales team may be able to help. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-800-385-2155 or you can chat with them at canon.us/shop Hope this helps!
