It was nice to see Gudrun on today's live stream. I was fortunate enough to have been on a trip with her in her native country, Iceland, in 2019. She was our tour guide for the trip . The people on this trip were made up of quilters. What a wonderful group of people. It was wonderful to have her show us fabulous places in Iceland. We even spent an afternoon with Icelandic quilters. It was an outstanding trip. Gudrun is an excellent teacher. If one has the opportunity to take one of her classes, do so. I love the Lil Diana quilt pattern. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the stripology ruler. Just used it this past week to cut 288 - 2 and a half inch squares! Lots of squares in no time! Great live stream, Kimberly. Keep them coming.

Absolutely LOVED this Livestream!! The energy and vibrancy Gudrun has, how contagious 🥰 Her colour palette is beautiful, I mix collections to find similar colourways too. Great to hear her promoting that. My favourites were Keira, Nova and Emma!

I am so glad that Gudrun was on the livestream with Kimberly and shared all of her tips and her amazing quilt patterns and stories with us. To be honest, I used to think that the ruler was overpriced and I had no idea how versatile and practical it is. I especially loved the Kira and Lucy patterns.

what a great livestream! Loved hearing Gudren's background and process. And really love the way Gudren comes up with the names for her quilts. There were certainly quite a few that stood out as my favorites. The green & gray hanging up is just stunning! Caught my eye immediately. Stella really appealed to me... such a big impact yet looks pretty straightforward to create! Thanks for bringing us this livestream! I always learn something new during them.

Hello Gudrun! I'm so excited to watch and learn when you start your videos. I hate to admit it, but I flunked math for so many years - ugh! And when I got into quilting, after my first class, I ran home and said to Hubby, "help! they're talking about fractions and geometry, what am I gonna do?!" But I SO love to quilt, just takes me longer to process a pattern. xo

This video has sparked my curiosity!! I have never been a fan of strip quilting but Lucy has definitely changed my mind!! I also have been fascinated since childhood with the Northern Lights so I’ve got to try that one as well. Thank you Kimberly and Gudrun for showing me that strip quilting can be interesting and artistic. Lily thank you for all of your work keeping things flowing.

This was a great livestream, loved meeting Gudrun and seeing all her gorgeous quilts and learning some tips and tricks. Will definitely be doing the "Little Roxy" and the "Roxanne" quilt patterns. My husband walked in while I was watching and commented that he really like the Christmas Tree quilt and the "Maria" quilt too. Thank you for a fun podcast.

My favorite quilt is Marina...I love that she Gundrun wasn't so matchy matchy! She thoughtfully curated many different lines but created a beautifully cohesive quilt! I also love the way she thinks and creates. Thank you Gundrun and Fat Quarter Shop for highlighting her work!!!

Wow wow wow!!! Loved this livestream. Gudrun did a fantastic demonstration of the stripology rulers. They way she names her quilts is so unique. I loved Nova it was a hard decision so many of her quilts are just gorgeous as are her pieced backings. I will never again refer to my fabric collection as “stash”. I'm not usually a modern quilt lover, but I really do love Nova and Aurora. I just purchased the XL and Squared ruler and cannot believe how I ever lived without them! They are wonderful! I will probably make both of them eventually. Thank you for having her this week at Fat Quarter Shop!

I always enjoy watching Behind the Seams, and this one was fantastic. Loved seeing how I can do so many things with my Stripology XL ruler. Gudrun’s quilts are beautiful, and I may have some on my wishlist, but I really favor the very simple Stella from Stripology Mixology.

thank you fqs for bringing gudrun to us. it was so interesting to hear her story on how she started out in quilting. and i was so surprised to find out she was from iceland!! visiting iceland and the nearby faroe islands is the top of my bucket list. i can't wait to see her upcoming videos. my favorite quilts were: 'two timer'--love those triangles and 'lupen' --- loved the unusual block shapes and the color was striking. 💞🇮🇸

I have all 3 of the Sgtripology rulers and I love them. I used to "die cut" a lot of my shapes, but it is so much faster with the Stripology rulers. I love all the quilts I saw today! I want to make at least one table runner. The quilt that I prefer and that I want to make is the Nova quilt. Thanks FQS for inviting Gudrun!

It was a great livestream with a fantastic guest. I've been a fan of hers since she talked at our guild. Kira is my favorite pattern, but after seeing all the other beautiful ones today it will be hard to choose my next one, but I think it will be Nova. Her stripology rulers are game changers for cutting quickly and accurately. BTW I love all your livestreams, Kimberly.

I have the stripology ruler and love, love, love it but I didn’t know Gudrun had a RU-vid channel...so I will follow her now 😃 My favorite quilt is the Nova...probably because stars are a favorite of mine but with this quilt the stars come together so magically 🙌🏻 That quilt is now on my must do list!!!

Thank you both for a great video! My favorite quilt is the Glacial Ice, also the "fun fact" about them. I have all 4 rules and the Stripology Mixology book. I use all of the rules for my quilts. These are a GAME CHANGER! I have all of the fabric picked out from my "collection" for the Charm Shuffle pattern in the Mixology book, and can't wait to make these Nova!

Loved the video! I’ve seen the strip rulers and always wondered about them. Now I know they need to be in my collection. All the quilts were beautiful. I think my favorite was Aurora. I lived in Alaska as a child and that brings up many memories for me. I mix my fabrics collections to make my quilts individual, and I’ve found that I live having pieced backs. Thank you all!! I love Gundrun's Iceland book. I love to hear her inspiration stories for her quilts. I have finished the Emma quilt that I started in Gundrun's class. I used metallic silver fabrics that remind me of snow and ice. I want to make the Aurora quilt someday. It reminds me of watching the dancing Northern Lights in Minnesota. I love all three stripology rulers. I travel with the smallest one. I"ll finish my Stroll Through Paris quilt when I get back home this spring. Can't wait to see it completed. It was so fun to watch Gundrun and Kimberly together today!

I loved so many of Gudrun's patterns! I had never heard of her. before and I am blown away. Many caught my eye but Kira looks like a pattern that would be great for a wedding gift quilt I plan on making. The rulers and mats were amazing and definitely going on my wish list.
