Hey Mark Davis, the path to success does not lie with constant change and turn over of coaches and management. Success happens with stability, a plan, and commitment. In a year with turmoil when Gruden was gone, you replaced him with Rich Basaccia. He in turn stabilized the team and brought them together to make the playoffs in what could have resulted in a complete gong show of a season. Then you go against the advice of your GM and Basaccia gets turfed and then so does the GM. Then you bring in this current regime in and at the end of the year you sit Carr and dump him. Despite him being here for 9 years and working under 6 different coaches and the revolving gong show, he still had outstanding numbers. He should’ve been given a medal. Now you have McDaniels and Ziegler running the show…I hope you have a long term plan and I hope they do too. Look around the successful teams over the last 12-18 years. The Pats, Steelers, Seahawks, Chiefs, Packers….they ALL had stable management and coaches in place. It’s not hard to see the template of success laid before your eyes….hell I can see it from up north in Canada where I live. I have loved the Raiders from when I was a little kid (I’m over 50) ALWAYS supporting the team- win, lose, or tie but this is getting tiresome and it starts with you. My friends and I fly down once a year to watch and support our team and will continue to do so for years (yes my kids are Raiders fans as well- another generation for you) but they’ve never seen success. Make a plan and stick with it Mark. If you need some advice let me know….I’m all in and vested and have that template to success….hell I’ll give it to you for free. Am I wrong in thinking that if we kept Bisaccia as head coach after making the playoffs, then added Adams and Chandler we would have made the playoffs this last year and maybe won a game or two. Being all the team went through with Gruden and Ruggs it seemed to me the team was united and the locker room and coaching staff was on the same page. Taking 1 step forward and three back does not sit with me very well. I have herd many people say McDaniel's is a great OC and brilliant play caller. I have yet to hear anybody say he is a great man and has my back, and that worries me greatly.
