Melissa, I love this song too. It first hit me when I was away from my family WAY TOO MUCH. I was promoted at a company that was having HUGE problems. I was working 14 hour days, determined to save this damn company singled-handed, if I had to. But at the end of the day I missed my family so much. I was hoping that my wife (now ex-wife) would understand. The lines "I don't care what they think. I don't care what they say. What do they know about this love anyway?" made me determined to cut back at work somehow. My love for my family was much more important to me than the people I worked for (who created the mess in the first place). Thank you for Come To My Window!

Melissa- in 1995 in Illinois my then boyfriend told me he loved me at your concert while we danced to you singing Come To My Window. We married soon after and had children over the years. We were married for 25 years and just a little over two weeks ago he unexpectedly passed away while he was states away from me on a month long work trip. The other night I dreamt he was at my bedroom window and I was trying to get to him … I was pressing my body so hard into the screen just to reach him. Just days ago I realized what this all meant.. how he was reaching out to me , to tell me he loved me just one more time. This song means EVERYTHING to me .
I am so glad you did! I first heard this song when I went away to college. I remember looking up at the massive dorms, how students decorated their windows, and how this song was blaring from one of the dorm room windows. I had many experiences meeting people, learning about relationships, falling in and out of love... Your lyrics are so, so incredible! ❤🎶

IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Thank goodness he didn’t get me the tickets to see Wynona ! Because seeing you was the one memory of being wild and free and YOUNG!!!! ❤ You are my role model for so many reasons & the most AMAZING artist of ALL TIME! Way underrated!!! Your stories ( songs) got me thru breakups, heartaches, love, babies and life!!! They helped me to connect with own soul and feelings when I was confused and raising myself. Your music, your voice has helped me in moments when NO ONE could reach me and I didn’t feel like speaking… Your songs with your soulful vocals made me search within my heart and feel things in a different way than maybe I felt it before. I believe that people love and feel emotions on different levels and I have always felt things very deeply. Longtime fan who feels all your music, but i remember listening All the Way to Heaven for the first time and I said if anyone ever wrote something like that for me I would fall in love immediately. To be loved the way you have loved certain people is a rare thing and I don't understand how anyone could throw that away. I hope you find someone to grow old with who can love you on your level.
