He is a fantastic songwriter. There isn't another musician on earth who could write a Mojo Nixon song. Period.

I got to see him play about twenty years ago in a local bar. He sat at the bar before the concert, drank beer, and hung out with the patrons. He was a genuinely nice guy. That was absolutely one the best concerts I've ever seen and that says a lot. At the end, for his encore he was asking the crowd what they wanted to hear. I screamed his name, he looked at me, I yelled Beer Ain't Drinking. He pointed at me and then proceeded to play it. It was awesome. It wasn't until the next morning when I woke up extremely hungover, deaf, and feeling like a sack full of dirty assholes that I realized that I had never asked for an autograph. LMAO!!! At least I still have the memory.

Man am I going to miss him. I'm 51 years old and I just started listening to country and the only country I like is outlaw type of country. Started listening to him about 3 years ago. What a personality. Id look forward to his show and goofy thoughts. Tearing up cuz I'll miss him. Crazy to think that about someone dony even know. Mojo was funny. Didn't give a F and just loved that about him. I'll miss him

The funniest part is being French freshly landed in the USA, renting a car from Hertz and leaving with the windows down; turn on the radio with UFO BIG RIGS & BBQ, everyone looks at you with a weird look accompanied by a few welcome smiles. Mojo is one of my favorite artists =). Music is borderless and it can bring people together, not to listen to in moderation, quite the contrary.

Saw him at the Lion's Lair in Denver in 2014, we hung out at the bar before his show and drank Gin n' Tonics, just as real and down to Earth as they make em. He's the only reason I have a subscription to SXM, his show has turned me on to some of the greatest music on the planet.

I didn't realize how much Mojo meant to me till he was gone

songs notwithstanding, his best line ever was on Siriuxm one day. Venus williams and all the Wimbledon drama was going on. Can't remember the exact story but it dominated the news for weeks. SO one day on Outlaw County - following one of those Sirius ads, promoting the sports channels and especially Wimbledon. mojo immediately signs on and says; "Hey friends, this is Mojo Nixon and i dont give a FUCK about womens tennis!" then he immediately plays a song. it was funny as hell. ballsy at the time.

Mojo used to have a radio show in Austin way back when, and Gibby Haynes guest hosted with him, some of the most hilarious stuff I've ever heard, 4 hrs of insanity ensued.

So, I've been enjoying' his humor & music for a good while, listening to him & Richard Pryor I developed a love for music & humor. As Mojo says, "If you don't like it than @$#&! U!"
