Anyone know the name of the author or title of this memoir? most memoirs are very reserved with their contempt for russians, through time or otherwise. Its refreshing to listen to how passionate his dislike is for the enemy. The word Schweiner has been stuck in my head since starting this playlist. Thanks in advance.

I.m a brit of a certain age of early 50s my grandad who was taken prisoner in Dunkirk they had that forced march to pow camps when the war was over this emacted man came home my aunt didn't know who he was she was a baby when he went to war my grandad would wake up screaming in the middle of the night the things he witnessed must of been horrendous my mother was born but my grandmother said he wasn't the happy go lucky man she married he suffered till the day he died psychologically there was no help back then my grandmother would tell me tales of the war and I said in a comment to ppl of my generation to us Germany is an embarrassment I got a like but when I read it whoever had wrote it said how is Germany an embarrassment I said obviously your not a brit and your family never suffered well mine did and I can't forgive them ever

I realize these are the German side of the war, but the constant refrain in these stories about how Saintly the Germans were is getting old & I'm sick of them, so to hell with these stories.. For historical accuracy, maybe you should add a prologue to each one about how barbaric & viciously inhumane these Germans actually were?
