Beautiful lyrics and melody that make my soul sing and weep for the gratitude within my whole being for what my Lord did for me . . . for us . . . for those that know and believe. Praise Him. Hallelujah, He is Risen!
Another helpful and wonderful hymn that helps us focus our minds before taking Communion. Thank you to God for the amazing gift of musicianship and songwriting that you gave to this couple. Thank you also to Keith and Kristyn for working so hard in making the most of this precious gift in order to glorify God and help so many people come closer to Him in worship.
THERE IS TRUE AND ABSOLUTE PARDON AT THE CROSS. THE BODY OF JESUS WAS BROKEN FOR YOUR SAKE. THE MAIN MOTIVE FOR THE SACRIFICE IS LOVE AND A SIGN OF THE BOND OF GRACE BETWEEN MAN AND GOD. PLEASE EMULATE JESUS CHRIST AS YOU SHARE IN HIS SUFFERING. HE IS EMMANUEL. GOD WITH US.
Were the piano/keyboard and other instruments not used in your rock and roll experiences? Were there no human voices included in it? Could not they all be used for the glory of God!
King David both played the harp and the timbrel, according to the Bible, the man of Jesus Christ's own heart, mind you. The harp is essentially a simple luth instrument, a precursor to the modern day guitar and the timbrel is the biblical name for the tambourine. King David were a percussionist too! All through the Psalms and also many other books in the Bible you see testimonies of the Jews, under the curse of the Mosaic Law, absolutely did worship also with the use of percussion instruments! If you have such and issue listening to drums in your worship music, you can go to many other channels. For instance, you can find a whole host of Amish/ Mennonite/ Church of God channels, which only do acapella, and I absolutely enjoy to listen to many of them too, as for instance the channel of brother Dino Roldan Jr. from the Philippines. You don't need to be like the Pharisees or the modern equivalents of that, such as the Seventh Day Adventists, and push your personal preferences down to others like doctrines, that we must follow. 1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 150 KJV
