I agree! A great mix of new designs and clones of classics. It's also great to see space around the knobs for your fingers (and full size keys om the newer clones), I don't know which one I want first!

@@BarryWarne I can understand if it's an analogue sequencer (like the puppy on my 1970's Yamaha CS30) but even then there would be a way to achieve it (with a voltage offset). There's no excuse for a digital sequencer and digitally processed keyboard/pads. It really drives me insane on my Korg Volcas, which otherwise have great little sequencers. It's a real head-slapper. Why? oh why? You just want to punch some dopey engineer. It's as bad as the non-latching sequencer on my goddamn Dave Smith Mopho keyboard (to be fair, that could be considered a "sticky tape" activated function).

Yep, I absolutely agree. It's a no brainer! A simple firmware update could transform the Volcas and the Minilogue. I wonder if the new Minilogue XD even has this feature!

They are all relative to step 1 CV, which is both confusing, and at the same time pretty cool." Now, I have a CS-30 and I can't seem to replicate this. Does your do this?

Nope, but then again, it hasn't been working at all for at least five years so maybe my memory fails me. That rings no bells, however one thing I never tried was applying a voltage to the cv input. I've been lazy about fixing it as I have a CS15 as well, which isn't far off but has no sequencer.

Hey between the D and Neutron if you had to keep one, which would you choose

@@DeepDoseMusic dam both but that does not help so.. if I didnt have another synth it would the Neutron if I did the D. The Neutron is nuts with all the possibilities and the D is "that" sound at an affordable price. I prefer the D filter but the the Neutrons multi mode one is lovely too. This crave is right up my alley.

@@josephlepkowski2383 yeah I plan to have both eventually too. Sounds like the neutron requires some patching to get smooth and clean sounds. Also like the extra oscillator on the D. Good problem to have choosing between the two. Thanks

Larry Wilson it’s got the same oscillators as the Neutron which already has 2 so I doubt they’d do that when you can just, idk, but the Neutron.

well noob phil, this is a synth and the beatstep is a sequencer. thats why they are different. makes sense?

@@lilakmonoke982 Did you read my post or just select words? I have the behringer neutron (a synth), and the beatstep pro (a sequencer). The crave combines these two elements at a very affordable price, however, I feel that I can get more diversity out of the setup I already own. Does that make sense?

Monologue can do it

Neutron can do it - I connect SQ1 sequencer via CV/Gate outputs and put midi keyboard to Neutron input - pressing keys transposes the sequence

Electronic massacre I doubt that. I didn’t cancel mine. This is more east coast, the Volca Modular is more west coast. 2 veeeery different types of synthesis and no real overlap at all besides the fact they both have patch points. If you cancel the VModular and get this hoping to have the same thing or “more bang for your buck” you’d be mistaken. Both are cool and both have their place.

@@ivayloivanov3744 - no they coexist nicely. I have my Volca's I have my Model D and will have the Crave.

Ivaylo Ivanov How? The Volca Modular is an analog, 2 oscillator synth with more patch points, built in effect, and a sequencer with motion recording, active step (polyrhythms), and parameter locks. Compared to this, it actually has more features overall. Not sure how that makes the Volca look like a toy, unless you’re purely talking for an aesthetic point of view, which even then I could barely understand.
