Hopefully Behringer will complete the MIDI implementation! They did update the MIDI implementation of the JT-4000, adding all but one of the parameters to the CC list.
There's so much that I like about this synth. For the price I suppose one should not complain about the 4-voice limitation. I wonder why that is so prevalent in botique and mini synths? What is it about the jump to 6 voices that makes it impossible? I'd love to see behringer come out with a full size version of this, but I may yet get the mini. Such great sounds!
They sold me on it as soon as I saw the “VS” in the name… I tried a friend’s original VS rack mount module in the 90s and fell for those sounds. Years of Wavestations, TG33s, and Waldorfs later… stills sounds amazing to me. I had an Evolver twice too, but I’m not a fan of mono synths. I wish they’d do a twin “Pro 4 Mini” to go with it… so with the Pro VS Mini it’d be like having a Bolyevolver…
Hi Pete!! Good to see you so soon!! It's very late here, but I was curious!! I may have to retract my last comment about the sound from this synth.. This sounds awesome!! And wow when the other arp kicks in!! Thank you!!
Hey Pete thanks a lot for the awesome detailed dive in buddy This seems to be a tiny nasty device and I'd take the 4 voices limitation as an exscuse to grab a second one!😅 Thanks for sharing this is great! 👍👍
@@PeteMidiI assumed you would do a follow up of the comparison between the Volca Sample and the Elektron Model: Samples; since the Lofi-12 seems to be in the middle of those machines in terms of functionality and workflow. I can understand you having reached your goals for this year. It's just a suggestion on my part. Anyways, good to hear from you.
Was that music at the end all from the VS mini? Crazy how powerful they are. I just picked on up and just diving into it. There's so much to learn. I love it. Thanks fren great vid.
I tried that with the JT Micro using a Primova MIDX-20 that I had sitting unused for years in a drawer… MIDI out from a Digitone MIDI track to the MIDX, then the normal MIDI out to the Pro-VS and the USB-MIDI out to the JT… works great, but way too many cables, occasional stuck notes (had to dig out an ancient Anatek MIDI Panic box for that), and the fact that a new MID-X now costs more than both these tiny synths together! Just hope they’ll make a mini sized 4 voice “Pro”(…phet)…
I just received my Pro VS mini but I am unsure on how to connect it to my PC in order to hear the sounds that I create. I want to use it together with FL Studio. Do I need an audio interface? Or can I just connect it to my PC via the phone out?
