Behringer TD-3 Hands On and FL Studio Integration 

Do you know if your method also works with a laptop? I don't have an audio interface, but im trying to connect my td-3 so that it recieves MIDI from fl studio and then sends audio back, so i can record it into my DAW. I got it to the point, where it recieves MIDI and plays it, but I cant send the audio back to my Laptop. Is there a way to directly connect the td-3 output with the laptop?

@@levinsidler8661 probably not without an input, mic input, or an interface. I have the same problem with my laptop. It has no audio in. I've seen people use small behringer interfaces with their phones. Or something like the Roland go mixer.

Here’s a little update using it via USB. You set the TD3 to USB MODE , open FL STUDIO midi settings in the OUTPUT section select the TD3 assign it a port and make sure you click “SEND MASTER CLOCK” if it doesn’t work the first time toggle the SEND MASTER CLOCK on and off a few times and then press play in FL STUDIO. You should see the unit blink which means it’s receiving clock from FL STUDIO. Make sure all the other outputs are disable like MS WAVETABLE SYNTH etc. In this setting you cannot use the TD3 play button to start FL, but honestly I haven’t really tried. Good luck!

The exact same thing happens with me too.

I really enjoy it so far. It sounds and it feels analog for sure. In this unit there is no delay or reverbe, only distortion which sounds nice too. The app is basic but my main concern is really the poor user experience. It could be basic but easier to use, if you know what I mean. But is not a deal breaker. Overall I am really happy with it. I have a focusrite 8i6 mas isso não faz diferença. Eu usei um cabo MIDI para conectar o interface com o TD-3 e depois no FL Studio configuras o interface para ser master e fornecer um clock de MIDI para o TD-3 👊😊

Are you using FL Studio Adio drivers? I had the same issue when using the FL Studio driver. When I switched the Focusrite Adio drivers that issue went away. In my case, I have an interface from Focusrite. Try switching the audio drivers and see the results. Let me know if it works 😊

​@@DailyBeatsPt I'm using a UR22 MK II and it's ASIO drivers- However, I think I might have just worked out the issue. If you pause, stop or resume play it stays in tempo but falls out of sync in terms of not being about to resume properly. However, if you play the project from the very beginning it will be perfectly in sync again. It's not exactly a fix, but at least better that nothing. Is this the same issue for you? @@enterthebully9968 I see. I had the same issue when the track does not start from the beginning. I think that is one limitation of the MIDI protocol which is in need of a major update. I've read that they are working on midi 2.0 but so far I've not seen any public announcement about its release. I think there are some devices that provide better clock sync but I've not tested any so I can't tell if that would fix anything 😊

@@noider_off3008 yoo its been 2 month and you didnt solve it? thats sucks, any way my problem is that i cant produce any sound from the td at all, its just send patterns to other sounds but not procude the sound it self.

R u using it like a sort of midi keyboard? I don't really understand your problem, sorry. My problem is that i cannot sync with the daw, the machine sounds and also I have added pedals to gain the beast. If u explain me better ur problem I try to help u!

To record audio from the TD-3 you don't need anything else, just arm a mixer track for recording and start recording. To control the TD3 then you need some kind of midi link. I think you can do it using the USB port but I've not any good results with it. The best way would be with a midi cable connected from your audio interface to the TD3. You can also use the midi out plugin to send notes to the TD3. I have a video explaining how to do it. Hope it helps 👊😊

I did this at first also. It's because all that is doing is sending a midi signal. Im new and figuring things out still. I had to run the head phone output into my mic input on my pc I don't have a focus rite audio interface. From what I can tell all the USB cable will do is sync midi clock or turn the td3 into a midi controller, or Recieve a midi signal.

@@mackemcabbie feels good. I recorded into FL Studio. I just got a second USB so I can sync my td3, apc 25 and the Daw. First time I synced FL and my td3 it was a blast.

@@mackemcabbie You can just hook it up like i did. Record into FL instead of Audacity. I ran my head phone jack into the line input on my pc. I'm sure the output on the back is preferred but have no 1/4 jack. After fumbling around with all the settings for my pc and FL Studio audio input, output. In midi setting I set to send master sync. I did not enable the input selection. After all this I could input sound from the td3 into FL. It will sync with the beat I made in FL. And I can control everything except the tempo because it is synced, and if I turn on distortion while it's playing it goes silent, idk why. I was able to record the td3 with my beat in FL. For tonight I'm happy with that. The td3 also starts when I start FL but not the other way around. You should be able to do this? Your running into a PC right? if you can record in audacity.
