LOUD INTRO! #Sorrynotsorry
Here's the Behringer V-Amp Pro. It is surprisingly good, even while playing through a £30 strat, a 3 string bass and a unit with screws for knobs.
All content created by me and therefore copyrighted so, apart from Metallica's Now That We're Dead. That isn't mine... I wish it was though, its a killer riff.

Plug this thing into a PC (haha, if you can, keep you're very old PC interface!) so all control and memory is on a screen. You can now access even more tweaks and keep it very relevant today, 2020. Long time VAPro user!! Great product.

I blew my one up at college, they weren’t 100% reliable but sounded great especially for the price. Got a helix now which tops it but loved using it on some of the recordings I used it on. The lights on it looked great too 😂

It’s the same with most old behringer gear. It has redeeming features and sounds great for the price, but WILL die eventually. Saying that, I have my old UB euro rack mixer (before Xenyx mixers!) thats nearly 20 years old and that still works!

@@JDStoneCreations my X18 is different feels built to last and done gigs with dad and practices with me, I have a suspision it’s not behringer built 👀😂

You really needed to plug it into midi and a PC, and run the SW - there are a zillion patches, plus you get a lot finer control than you do with the knobs. I run the output into a clean (not guitar) amp and floor monitors. Still not a Helix or Kemper, but it's stuff the test of time because it works well enough to keep me from buying one of those.

Hmm. If you NEED to plug it into a PC via midi to get the best out of it, then I'm not interested. My Korg AX1500G pedal makes a better job of its effects and is easy as pie to edit. My PodHD500 pedal is much more complex and I do the main editing via USB, but if I do want to edit anything on the fly I can. If it works for you, excellent. It proves there really is good gear for any budget and I love that. There is however no way in hell this thing can hold a candle to a Helix, Kemper or AxeFx!

@@JDStoneCreations you can do a lot though the knobs, but there's a reason people run pro tools, etc. You can tweak to your heart's content, and then store the patch (there's 24 banks of 5, so that's a lot). So when you're just playing, you can go to the bank/patch you want. In the SW, you can give the patches names, which are displayed in a grid, which is super handy. There's some open source code for Linux that I'm going to try and port back to Windows and then hot-rod to be able to easily put patch list sequences together, and move patches around easier

Haha. I knew there was a lot it could do that I didn't show in the video or experiment with off camera. But then again, I only had it for about 2 weeks and used it maybe 4 or 5 times!

u shouldve kept it mate... just think, it's a decent interface (with pre and post inserts)... its an amp sim pedal, reverb pedal AND delay pedal rollled in to one with multi fx to throw on top. I think the person you bought from might have reset the patches so switching from one to another will not really sound dirrefent until you write new patches on top. :) I bought one for drums and synths etc... wish I had'v had a chance to pick one up for 20 :D Besides all that, good video you've made here... much better than all the others on youtube!

Thank you! It was an excellent piece of kit and yes, I do kinda wish I'd kept it... but I have a Pod HD500 and a Korg AX1500G too which are also great fun to use with stuff other than Guitars (I tried a stylophone through them once, that was weird!)

It sounds ggod specially for what it costs. Of course if you spend time tweaking it would sound a little better. So my question is: Whats that clay car in the background? A Ginetta? 😎

Indeed it does and indeed it would! I only had it a few days and didn’t tweak, so I was happy with the ok results. The clay car is of my own design! It was my final college project some 11 years ago :) I called it the JDS Vampire. I might have to do a video on it one day!

I own over a dozen modelers and have owned and sold dozens more/the v amp pro sounds as good or better than any of them-and they can be had for $75-$100 on a good day !!!###

I won’t waste your time, I have absolutely no idea 😅 I owned this for a week or so and did zero research, and that was years ago! Check if you need an amplified/powered cab rather than passive, and crucially take more than one persons word before you pull the trigger and buy one!

That my friend is the Executioner, made by me. It was the first stringed instrument I made, but unfortunately I lost all the footage of making it. I do have a video of the coffin case I made for it though!

Not a dedicated one as such, and no standard Jack to Jack foot pedal as most amps do, but the fbc1010 midi pedal works with it from what I can tell on the interwebs!

The funniest thing about this is that the more serious reviews on more expensive gear on my channel are gaining positive comments and responses. This, not even called a review but just a jam, is getting so much hate from people that seem to think this V-amp is the do-all and end-all of modellers... Its so cute to see you get so worked up about something so worthless! 😊

You Have To Admit, You Know NOTHING About This Unit. It freaking Rocks !!!! ya have To tweak, tweak And then tweak Some More. Had All the Versions Of Em, buying another After selling Them. Bad Move. Get another And play With It A Bit. Youll be VERY Surprised.

Yep. I admit it. Lol. I have my Korg AX1500G which does a better job of everything and doubles up as a floor pedal though, so I don't miss it! BUT, if I did buy another, I would buy one without screws for knobs haha

You’ll be sorry u sold cheap...Most modern moulds of a similar ilk all sound similar...unless u go Kemper / Helix Pro Etc...This V Pro is possibly modelled off the Line 6 chip
