These are going to be very valuable videos. I would love to see a step by step method for setting up the Wing for DAW Use. For example, connecting a stereo keyboard then setting up the routing and setting up the master output channel on the DAW/Wing and main and secondary monitors. I am positive you can provide best practice methods for this. Your videos are the best I have seen so far. Please keep them coming!
Thanks Drew.. I'm soo super excited about this board.. I've had it since last year and been learning it as they continue to release firmware updates.. I'm sooo looking forward to all your lessons..
How frequently will you be posting these Wing videos? They are already some of the most in depth videos explaining a pretty complex console. And without a good manual from behringer these videos are the best way to learn it
thanks Drew! I currently have an X32rack. if I get the Behringer wing can i then use my X32rack as a stage source box to supply channels to the wing (via AES50)?? would I still be able to control each channel’s mic preamp input gain from the Behringer wing?
Can we normaly use aux inputs as source for chanel for example keyboards, laptops… I noticed the only difference between combo and aux in is trim instead of gain control in aux and of course phantom power.
Im always frustrated by the marketing of these kind of products. Yes, technically it has 48 ins, however functionally it is 16. Even then you could say functionally it is only 8 (the 8 XLR combo jacks). It may be splitting hairs, but talking about what it is capable of and what it actually has is quite the distinction.
Using it as an analog submixer, yes, but you're probably thinking about using the XR18 as a DI, like an S16 or S32, where the answer is no. The XR18 lacks the AES50 interface that is needed for that application.
3k for a 16 channel board. Why even bother selling this with out the 32 channel input box? It's 4.1k to actually use this as a live board with any where close to the number of live "sources" that are advertised. Sad.
