Wow! Amazing! Thanks so much! I have been struggling for years and in 15 minutes you break the code for me! My Xenyx QX1202Usb just got more of value in my life! Thanks so much! Faure, Pretoria, South Africa
Thank you very much for clarifying each independent setting; particularly for gain setting as I've always needed some insight and guidance in getting this mixers levels properly adjusted.
You do a great way of explaning how it works really appreciate you making this video. I own this mixer and if you ever do a video on mix minus would love to watch it. The mix minus still confuses me how it works.
@@towers.18 no you can only record what is output from the USB connector or perhaps the audio Jack outputs which would be whatever is selected at the time eg if you had 6 inputs then they would all be output at the same time. You’d need something like an 8 or 16 track recorder for example as they take individual track inputs. The Zoom R8 is one example but I’m no expert and haven’t tried recording anything yet so maybe someone else could help here
Love how you make it so clear and easy to understand and follow. I connect my Behringer 1204USB straight to my MacBook, Shure Wireless Mics, for my Crystal Sound Bowls Recording, the hissing sound is horrendous. A direct wired Shure lapel to my iPhone sounded way better! Gosh! Any tips or areas I ought to look at to reduce those HISSING sound?
@@chaitusrikri I spoke to a couple of people who have done this and they told me that the mics are picking up sounds, thus the hisss. One way to reduce it is by hanging moving mats all around (I can't afford a sound proof studio for now). Hope that helps
Fantastic video, not just the production quality, but also really well explained and not just reading from the manual. I have the QX1002USB unit, is everything the same apart from two fewer channels¿
Excellent tutorial. Everything fully and clearly explained without the BS some channels use to fill up the time. Thank you. Can you do a video on the specific X1204USB setup (connections, dials, buttons) for USB connection FROM and TO a Windows PC. I want to RECORD on my PC through the mixer and PLAY PC audio through the mixer to my speakers/headphones, etc.
@@Bobby_Rib this is so bizarre. My better half has a smaller behrenger board (302 something) and can but I can't with the Q1202. He can monitor himself just fine but I get nothing. There has to be some way to monitor the mix?
DId you ever figure this out? Im googling and cant. I just got my mixer and I am trying to connect it to FL Studio (and I tried other DAWs too) and there is no sound. I plugged a keyboard into it. I want to be able to record a live track into the DAW. This video is really helpful but it doesn't cover the USB part.
As I remembered reading on this unit manual book, that Stereo Line input are Balanced TRS input... So, if I have any active DI, I can put it to the stereo input on almost any behringer xenyx mixers... Yamaha doesnt have any balanved TRS input like behringer...
Hi. Excellent video, clear and concise, I am a little puzzled though, you have shown how to connect microphones and your mobile phone and spoke and played music from them into and out of the xenyx, did I miss something, the xenyx was not connected to a powered speaker or an amp.? Did you use the USB imput/output which is situated on the rear of the xenyx and therefore unseen?. I feel that I am risking embarrassment in asking this question but I would still like to know. John Berwick.
@kettnercreative Thank you, for your speedy reply. My need is to connect 1 or 2 mics via the xlr inputs, and then for audio, connect my Dell laptop via the 3.5mm headphone socket or a USB socket (using an adaptor) outlet, into the xenyx (qx1202usb)with a 3.5mm stereo jack to 3 x 6.3mm mono Jack's cable into L/R line in ?. Then connect the xenyx to one or two powered speaker amps, I Hope this makes sense to you, and you can offer me a solution. Thank you so much for your time and expertise. John Berwick.
May the control-room outputs be used for stage monitors in a live situation? Also, must the 1/4 plugs be TRS as opposed to 1/4 TS if two monitors are being used?
Thanks for your instruction . I can not get my phones jack to work I’ve tried the way you showed us and it still does nothing and the level indicator lights do not illuminate , thanks for any assistance you can provide.
Hi Jordan - Will (or can) this Behringer when going into my computer as an audio interface separate the channels (ie Four Mics = Four Separate Tracks in my DAW) or will just send a L/R signal? Thanks! Love The Vids.
I notice to you used a 3.5mm stero to 2 6.3 TP jacks into the left and right channels for your phone. What cable is best for a guitar into the line in sockets? Can you go into left and right line-in? Would you use TP or TPS jacks into both left and right line-in?
Hey great tutorial I just got the behringer XENYX 1202FX premium and want to know if I can use my phone to play music into the mixer and speakers and play along to it and I'd like to know can I cancel out one instrument in the music so I can play that one instrument that I want to take out and play along with the rest of the instruments,
Thanks for such a detailed video. I am trying to connect my iphone to the mono line input on the mixer using Lightening cable to 1/4 balanced TRS cable which I plug into the line 1 but I hear it with a lot of background noise which sounds similar to white noise. Do I need a cable like you showed 1/8 inch to dual 1/4 inch? I can hear the mic into my bose mini soundlink I have connected using aux cable ( from main out line cable to 3.5mm aux into speaker) and its very clear. Just the phone input is not clear and I have to put the gain and volume all the way up for it to be heard but then there is this noise that gets added. Can u please suggest what to do? Thank you
@@kettnercreative thank you for your reply brother.. Actually I'm using behringer xenxy 1202 mixer and a evo4 interphase I'm getting a hissing sound while connecting the interface to the mixer through a mono calbe
I don't have usb option in the mixer So I purchased a audio interface I'm using 4 dynamic microphone through XLR cables as inputs And taking the output from the main out for speakers and to the interface I'm taking the output from main section.
So,while I'm connecting the interface to the mixer it makes hissing sound And when I disconnect the interface either from the computer or from the mixer it stops. This is the problem I'm facing Setup is in the indoor ( CHURCH)
I'm very glad today's special this tutorial kindly let me know how I can make a live Streaming with Zoom Pray Meetin & with my Samsung Ultra s20. Thanks advance for your comprehensive Response. 🙏
Hey Jordan! Just got the QX1202 USB a few days ago and tried streaming with it. I tried streaming on RU-vid through OBS, while i'm talkin' to people on Omegle. Problem i've found is that when i hear the people on the site, they cant hear me and vice versa. There's no way i can set up the mixer to be able to monitor the USB line from the computer and also be able to send my mic through USB also, it's either one or the other when i'm using the mixer as an input and output device in my laptop, and that's really frustrating for me sice thats the only reason i bought the mixer in the first place. The alternative to this that i've found is to use the laptop's headphone out and run it into one of the line ins on the mixer but then i get a really bad buzzing sound. My question would be: is the Mackie ProFx10V3 capable of USB playback and input at the same time, while also allowing me to monitor my analogue sources and laptops audio at the same time, without it cutting the USB out to the laptop? Thanks in advance!
I want to set up to DJ controllers and use both controllers on the same monitor speaker system... Can I use the XLX from the controllers and connect to the Beringer XLR port...
Hi, thanks for your video. I just bought this device. this device has Fx send but no Aux return or fx return. this is a serious problem. I want to connect an external effect device (behringer dr 600 digital reverb) but I don't know a solution? can you help me? thank you.
Hey thanks for the video! I do have a question. So I take a cable from the FX send to an effect unit, then back into channels 5/6, how do i then use the effect on other channels? On channels 5/6 would i press the FX button, set the level, then use the effect knobs on other channels? I have the 1202fx. Not usb. but they are very similar.
Despite having a cloudlifter with my SM7b, I'm still getting a TON of hiss when I record using Audacity. Could it be my cable that I'm using to connect my mic? Help!
This may be a very simple question. Do you need a driver to run this mixer on the computer. I got minimal instructions with the mixer and it doesn't mention a driver but I can't get it to work on the computer.
Can you talk about the headphones? When i have 3 mics going on with 3 headphones, the sound in the headphones can only listen just on the left side, but when i record it sounds perfect. Just the headphones is not balance. I used a 'Behringer HA400' to split the headphones. Can you help me how to solve this issue ? Thank you.
Thanks for the video quick question. I have the 820usb. So is there anyway to record out of usb? or do I have to run a cable to my PC? This video explains why I am banging my head against the wall. I am using 2 1/4 line in and the RCA line in. I couldn't get a signal out to my PC through USB but I have the Main mix button pushed. Is there a combination that will allow me to out put through usb? Thanks again.
Hey, Very informative one. I like the way you presented it. I recently got one Behringer QX1202USB and when I connect it to the USB interface and use my Microphone, there is a continuous Zizzzzz kinda sound unlike the one you showed. I wanted a crisp and crystal clear sound from my mixer without any hissing or noise. Let me know if something needs to be changed in setup. Thanks in advance.
Just letting you know, even if I make my mixer volume zero, this background nose can be heard. Is there no way to make it zero or we have to live with it?
Thanks for excellent video, watched the whole thing through step by step to set up my mixer. One question though, how can I control the level of the USB input when sending to main mix? Is it possible and is it necessary? Thanks!
It's not possible. The USB output is controlled by the level on each channel. So if you want to change the USB output, you need to adjust each channel level.
Is there an On/Off button or switch on the Q1202 for the mic. I've been doing this manually with the mic and of course, the click of the switch is audible. Wondering if there's anything on the console that will handle this. Thanks.
Sorry, got confused with the last part. When I use this usb mixer for live streaming I can't use a monitor speaker to listen to that I'm doing just headphone? Thank you
Great video man! I have always struggled with limits on this mixer. Question: out of the blue just a few days ago, I have noticed all 4 of my red led light's are on for the COMP knobs. Nothing is changed and it seems to sound fine, just not sure what would cause all 4 comp lights to stay on constantly. Any ideas? Using the Xenyx 1202 USB. All the COMP knobs are at 0. The only thing I can think of is since its been on 24/7 for about 3 years, you know...no actual power button, that is just starting to go out. Maybe time for an upgrade? Thanks!
According to the manual, you should reduce compression until the red light is rarely shown ( or not shown at all). I guess it indicates some kind of excess.
Can you please help, i connect my source of music to channels 9.10 and my electronic drum to channel 5, i need to output to headphones just the music in chanells 9 and 10, is there a way with this mixer? i am loosing my mind with this.
Hi and thanks for great vidos - however... i have an issue - started using Jamkazam for rehearsing with band. The band being in the rehearsal room sending me audio coming out from their mixer. It´s OK, but when im adding my guitar both the incoming signal and the guitar are sent back to the band - how can setup up so only my guitar are going back through USB? Right now using CI2 Steinberg soundcard but have orderered a Xenyx 1202 USB mixer.... hope you can help me out here.... BR Gustav
Hii i have behringers Qx1002 usb and it's giving me hiss even if it is tge same setting as default nothing on iam really frustrated from 6 months i don't know what is the reason can u please tell me
Thank you for your videos! I want a piece of help please. i have XQ1202 usb Mixer and i want to use it with two BOYA BY-M microphones in order to livestream an interview. Unfortunately, when i use 2, only one works. I try them alone and both works fine. When i plug in the second, i have sound only from one of them. What i make wrong here? Thank you in advance!
Hi Jordan- I bought this 1202 usb mixer and I am getting background noise when I connect my 1/4 trs to main out to my speaker (brand-new) .I tried with multiple cables and I get the same noise. I disconnected the mixer and connected directly from my dj controller rca to speaker 1/4 and it worked out. So I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
HI can you help me how can I connect this mixer to my laptop for me to get a karaoke music through YT, then connect it to my phone to do live using streamyard. Is it possible? I also have a K3 soundblaster I don't know if I can also connect it with the mixer just to use the fx. Thank you in advance.
Hi. Thanks for this tutorial. I get a nasty feedback from the mic in the CTRL ROOM speakers. For some reasons I can't get to use the mic with the speakers....any idea what I may be doing incorrectly? Thank you!
