So appreciate your sharing of the Olympic Village, especially the gigantic cafeteria that has so many food selections to choose from. That is quite an eye-opening. This makes people more appreciate the capability, hospitality, and generosity of Chinese people, all the voluntaries and Beijing Olympics Committee as the host. You are so lucky to be able to be part of this historic moment when so many of the athletes could not because of the pandemic or political reasons. Most of all, China has provided not only venues with up-to-date and eco-friendly technology but also a set of strict protocol to follow to ensure the safety and health of all athletes during the pandemic era. Thank you again.
What most Western press reported is totally different from what you said or described, either you are wrong or these western media are sore losers, but you are there experiencing it, so what you said can't be wrong, thanks for telling the truth, may god bless you! 👏👏👏
Journalists who write anything negative about China will be paid by the US government. So you have to take some of the negativities with a teaspoon of salt.
Thanks for the perspective, my mainstream media have been telling me that food in the village is "undigestible" and that "no athletes should be treated with such inhumane practice" Apparently not.
western medias anti China propaganda have been years, they are organized from the same “sources “ “order “, If they don’t negatively affect the audience, will lose their jobs
The Dutch Ice Speeding Team (TeamNL) complained on the first day (1st Feb) that "the food in Beijing Olympics Village is appallingly bad ! ". This is the front page title of almost all Dutch major newspapers on that day. What these people eat in Holland everyday must be truly out of this world I wonder?
Thank you for the great video. It is definitely more politically correct and can attract more views to bash China these days. Thank you for being a true Olympian that brings heartwarming clips and bright side of life that bridges people instead of dividing them.
There is a fable in China: "food is the most important thing for the people"! Eating is a big thing for Chinese people. In China, which is geographically vast, the climate changes greatly in the north and south, and the food materials are rich. From seafood from the coast of East China to beef and mutton in Xinjiang in the northwest, it follows different production methods in Chinese cooking history. After the improvement of cuisine by modern Chinese chefs, Chinese cuisine has launched eight major cuisines and thousands of dishes, which are favored by tourists and friends all over the world. I hope you will understand the Chinese people through the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. Welcome to visit China again and feel the friendliness and hospitality of the Chinese people.😊😊😊 Shanghai Old man 👏👏👏
Looking at the array of food available to you 24/7, I'd say the Chinese people really wanted to satisfy your needs during the games. I am glad they made sure you were safe and happy in the bubble as a precaution. They also incorporated the waste recycling/ management culture. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Hi Bud, thank you for telling us the facts which western media don't want to talk about. Up to now, I know that all food in the closed loop are free. I supposed athletes have to pay for what they ate.
You must be wrong. The South Koreans kept complaining about how bad the foods in the Beijing Olympics Village were. Guess they knew nothing about food other than their Korean Kimchi 🤣🤣🤣
These Vlogs are very helpful and amazing to watch from a usa olympic fan! I’ve never been overseas but this has made me want to travel to the Olympics in 2026, if allowed!!!! Thank you again!
Thanks for sharing. Have you got a chance to try out the robot cooking venue? Glad to hear so many positive reviews about the dining in the Olympics village especially when there were some very negative reviews from some atheles from other nation.
Robot cooking isn’t in Olympic village , it’s in Media center. I saw and heard a lot of positive comments about food in Olympic village from many countries athletes but Koreans, don’t know why, maybe they just like kimchi only.
thank you for the comments objectively, welcome to Beijing, welcome to China again next time for a tour,we have more great view and culture for your enjoying
Thank you for sharing your experience and I will share your video to my friend in Denmark 🇩🇰 because she has a mixed feelings about China’s from the MSM 😅
Ask her how she feels about the Danish press calling Chinese "sick men of Asia" at the start of covid and believing the bat soup conspiracy, yet Danmark had to put down millions of minks on an unrelated potential covid strain? So much hypocracy from the main stream media. I'm glad we have reports from people like Viktor who is on the ground and have no agenda.

I heard there are some 700+ food items and in one sitting, more than 50 peking ducks were ordered and consumed. Must be nice! Peking duck must be extra though.
I'm going to show this video to my coworker because he apparently thinks all the Olympic athletes were starved to death by China and forced to bring their own food.
don't think that'll change too much. Self indoctrination is strong. If anything your coworker might think that Viktor is forced to say this while being held at gunpoint, instead of anything else.
The videos complaining about must have been posted by South Korean athletes or journalists, and I think athletes in other countries know what the koreans are complaining about. By the way, the Japanese who watched that video all thought that Koreans were only suitable for eating kimchi.
@@Charles_Sun It is rude of the Koreans to complain about substandard food served in the Olympic restaurants. Mass produced food is generally inferior to restaurant meals in Korea. When I leave the Korean restaurants, I never complain to the waiter that the food is too greasy. I am not that insensitive. Shame on you for being such a loud mouth spoil brats.
Viktor, tak for at dele din lykkelige video ved de olympiske lege. Planlægger du at komme tilbage og besøge Kina igen? Viktor,感谢分享你在奥运会上的快乐时刻视频。 你打算再次访问中国吗?
great vlog video! I think my most memoriable vlog is when i was at TIFF. Obviously this was pre pandemic. Oh man im depressed now just thinking about it :( Im going to go eat a tub of ice cream and drown my sarrows :*( Great job on your video though :)
