This Outer Worlds playthrough I decided to go entirely psychopathic, murdering absolutely EVERY person in the entire game, including random civilians, guards, essential NPC, and all political leaders. I wanted to see HOW messed up the world would become after my reign of terror ended, and how it would affect each and every companion I have following me... or HAD after some of the stuff I did.
Basically, The Outer Worlds allows you to handle any situation how you please, and I figured that as a Psychopath, not necessarily a flat out mass murderer, I would benefit as MUCH as I could from each person, turning each and every friend against each other in the process, and then would wipe out their entire faction after I was done with them. This gave a HUGE amount of XP and rewards, but also the satisfaction of destroying entire cities and colonies.

Now it all makes sense why Phineas Welles was locked up behind the glass door the entire game. It's to prevent the player killing him and stagnated the entire game. I figured it was odd how you could never reach him in person. 😂😂😂

I don't think he did his best to murder everyone, I think because he chose to have companions and it didn't tilt all the way psychopathic ending (until recruited no NPC or companion reachable is invincible, which I tested on a whim), the darkest ending is when *spoiler* Phineas realizes he let out a pure murderer with no conscience, which I think he assumes is because of unfreezing you with a special chemical batch and therefore he is to blame, and he just straight up shoots himself over a video call at the very end of the game when he finally gets a chance to check out what you've been doing (since he's been out of communication for majority of the game and you can withhold details). Dunno if Kev cut it out because revenue, but yeah that is the worst possible ending, where the circumstances show there is NO chance of recovery and everyone is definitively doomed in every settlement, companions are dead and/or never recruited so their story ends where it began.

One of my favorite psychopath things you can do in this game has to do with Parvati. She will fall in love with the captain of the groundbreaker, and if you do a whole very long quest to help Parvati prepare for her date, she and the captain become girlfriends. You can then go up to the captain and kill her even if Parvati is your current companion. She will then yell at you and leave the crew.

Gunning down every soul on the Groundbreaker was the most cathartic, albeit unsettling, violence I’ve ever perpetrated in a video game. Makes you feel like Michael Meyer’s or Jason, just a relentless force from which there is no escape.

Well, if a game was so well programmed that has a special dialogue about something so weird... it means its has a lot more to discover. i think im going to buy it
