well this was both fun and terrifying! i like doing things alone but not when i'm in a vulnerable position i guess... that's why the idea of going to the movies by myself absolutely scared me and i always put it off. but i'm glad i did it and i hope you guys enjoyed this vlog plus all the other things i did in my "me day" :) let me know if you wanna see more vlogs like this!

I really love going to the movies alone. It’s nice to not have to worry about everyone’s schedules lining up to go. I also feel like I’m able to take a movie in much better alone. I sometimes find myself wondering if the person/people I’m with are enjoying it if I’m with a group, especially if it’s something I recommended we go see, and without that, I’m able to just walk away with my own thoughts on it.

I recommend Our Beloved Summer or Reply 1988! They’re one of my favorite kdramas and they’re very easy to watch if you want to feel cozy and happy🌼 And the actors are amazing!

I was also really scared of going to the movie theaters alone my first time, but it was perfectly fine! I’ve only been to the movie theaters alone I think twice now, but I’d definitely do it again. And yes to more vlogs! :)

at first i was nervous going to the movies alone, but now i'm real comfortable doing it, especially if there aren't that many people in the theater haha. i'd really recommend the kdrama little women, it's on netflix and it's easily in my top 3

I'm currently watching two k-dramas and I'm really enjoying them! They are: My Unfamiliar Family; Alchemy of Souls. The first is a drama about family relationships, and the second is a fantasy drama. I recommend both! ♡ I loved the vlog!! ♡

I really enjoy going to the movies alone. For a few years, I waited tables at an Olive Garden, which was very close to a big cineplex. When I’d work split shifts, I’d have a 2 or 3 hour break between lunch & dinner, so I’d go to the theater & see whatever was showing next. If it was a good film, I’d watch & if it wasn’t my thing, I’d take a nap. I saw lots of great films that way. By the way, your ‘concentration face’ when you were driving was F1 driver quality🤣

It was so liberating when I discovered solo theater trips! I often have gaps between classes in college and I like to see a movie alone since all my friends are busy w class or work. It doesn’t change much since you’re quiet in a theater anyway. Only genres I know I HAVE to see w other people are comedies and maybe blockbusters

@@cinemoni Absolutely do that. I definitely have a privilege as a man that I don’t have to worry as much going out alone, especially at night. That being said, the middle of the day during the week is better for solo trips anyway, so that’s good news! The theaters are nearly empty, and half the other people are also there alone (or it’s elderly couples). Stay safe!

Can vouch for going to cinemas by myself I think I prefer it now! Like I feel with friends you're cracking jokes and making lil comments throughout but if I'm by myself I can truly immerse myself into the film. I watched my favourite film of all time by myself, everything everywhere all at once and it felt good to cry and laugh without judgement

I do plenty of things alone but this one particularly scared me, i think mostly cause i’m a woman and i feel like the theater could be a vulnerable place. But definitely was a cool experience that i’m excited to try more
